>How donthe tokenomics work out?
Wow, after daily threads for 2 years this topic has never been discussed. I don't think anyone knows, its not on warsou and is definitely not in the whitepaper.

Just keep waiting until $50 and then $100 and then $300.

IT'S A SCAM YOU IDIOT!!! DON'T BUY!!

Seriously, does anyone know? I thought for sure I’d get a bunch of responses. Link threads always do 100+

you obviously havent read the whitepaper the link token CANNOT go above $1.00. to do so otherwise would be a malfunction of the entire tokenomic codes

no one has the patience to hold your hand on a topic that has literally been discussed to death for the past 2 years.

the most ill do nowadays to spoonfeed brainlets is posting the whitepaper. Your answer is section 5.5. Get reading bud.

What happens to sergeys 650 million and how will it effect the price? If only 35% is in circulation then adding 65% more would be catastrophic

So it’s goin to pay node operators which means it will keep pumping link out. This doesn’t sound good in the long run

Imagine being a stink linker holding this cult bag for years and not cashing out right now at a golden opportunity.
See you at 0.20 cents in tomorrow week losers.

jesus christ you're retarded.
At least take 1 single hour out of your day to learn the slightest bit on this project before asking questions.

Jesus christ you brainlet it's for large companies that want to make over the counter purchases, and to pay out node operators you fucking retard.

There’s still 650 million coins that Sergey owns. No matter whatever way you want to put it by using ad hominem attacks. Sounds like you guys don’t really know the answer to all this either. This is worrisome. Can’t even get answers without getting attacked. Who hurt you? Do you feel threatened?

Cope, subhuman.

Except I literally just answered it brainlet.

Brainlet here. Is node operation our version of mining? We stake and earn link from the non-circulating supply based on the value of the validation service we provide?

its time to end the fudding, based tripsposter. time to go mainstream

Yes I think so. Though to be honest, staking/node operating details are the thing we know the least about. I think Sergey intends to double pay in the first few months. But I am not sure if most of it is just to sell privately to big businesses, and node operators are actually just paid by the business who ordered the smart contract itself.

Is the 2:1 non circulating to circulating supply important? Like, it’s a mega node that would be used to police bad actors, or it’s a way they can control the price by dumping on the market to encourage adopting for lower end uses?

A proper explanation for nice trips. Sergey is going to be the richest man in the human history, that's it. I think he deserves it.

I don't know. I don't think so. No.

Do your own research.

thats not how it works idiot.
Do you think sergey and his crew are going to dump 650m tokens on binance and laugh the whole time, introducing massive amounts of volitlity into his network that is tied directly to the price of his token? Does that sound logical to you in any way? Stop and think just for a second what is a logical solution to this problem.

*IF* Sergey wants to sell his tokens to personal investors, he would simply hold a crowdsale. An investor would have to buy the tokens from the crowdsale and go out of his/her way to then marketsell the tokens on an exchange. If multiple investors are doing this, the market price of the LINK token dips, giving investors a financial incentive to not arbitrage their tokens. So what do we see occurring? The circulating supply of the token increasing ALONG WITH the total marketcap. Following along?

All of this is under the assumption that Sergey is willing to sell off his stake in fuck-you zuckerberg-type wealth, which would be utterly retarded in the first place. Do people who hold large stakes in companies like microsoft or apple look for opportunities to dump their majority shares on investors? No, they let their shares grow in value overtime. Why would they be so willing to give up their majority share in a company that is proven successful.

Sergey could also very well do OTC deals with companies looking to utilize the network that need to pay out node operators in their contracts.

This is not a difficult concept to understand. Be thankful I took time out of my day to spoonfeed you, someone who has very minimal understanding of link.

You've had 2 years

I’m not saying they’re going to dump it outright. Never said anything about that. But the fact remains that there’s still 650 mil coins that are not in circulation. If Sergey doesn’t play this correctly, it could get very dangerous for the average link holder. I wonder if Sergey even knows exactly what he’s going to do about this.

Then don't buy. Its that simple.

Thanks for saving us, user.
Lucky you were here to ask the important questions a week before mainnet

on the odd chance that you are not a troll and are just one of us who just came to biz from another board, the tokens are safu.

what mean for you? the tokens will be paid out to node operators (think like a form of mining) and are also helped to fuel adoption by creating support infrastructure for new prospective customers. very generic answer

Then won't the tokens earned by the node operators just get dumped back into circulation?

The boomers will come along and fuck up link. Mark my words.

no one knows the pay out over time. this isnt the right question. the right question has to do with value of the smart contracts and the need for collateral.

We signed a deal with Sergey for a shitload of linkies, there are lots of details about what goes in it but basically just know that nobody's going to be able to dump on you.
Smiley smiley, marines. It's almost time.

No, Theres an incentive for node operators to stake their tokens, not sell them on the market. The more link you have=the higher the valuation of collateral you can provide to contracts= the more money you get out of your node. Think the incentive you have to hold onto a stock that pays quarterly dividends.

Mainnet is 30th this month. He will market sell his stack, so at the least expect link price to dip to about 1/3 of what it is now in price. From there it should be about the price of a cup of coffee for a two man team. Good to hold while you earn your philosophy degree. Just watch out for disobedient ducks, they must be aligned in neat rows. You may also notice a foul odor. That is why you strap in every night.

Getting paid in link sounds cool, but think for a second. You are paid link to hold link. The initial linkie bag you paid for with cash. Don't sell it because you get paid more link the bigger your linkie bags... Sounds kinda... scammy? Can I go to McDonald's and pay in link? Only people who will accept payment in link are neet node operators. This goes beyond le tulip meme. I don't even know what to call it lol

currently the estimated return on LINK given testnet usage is around 0.03% annually, which is worse than nearly all POS coins

Sergey already has a big mac adapter in the works so the network can supply 1link token per Mcdonalds big mac

Sergey created a 650million LINK bigmac fund to fuel development. Its in the fucking whitepaper

Checked but get over yourself. You're way out of your league.

Retard. It is in the white paper and ICO details. I’m not going to spoon feed you anything.
