>had 1st round interview Friday before last >recruiter loves me and asks about salary availability etc >he sets up 2nd round video interview for last Thursday >interviewer is a woman >says she's not getting on video because she didn't shower >tell her my experience >she asks a few questions about it >only one I didn't think I nailed was when she asked if I had experience with some software I said we had a dedicated department at my last job that handled that so I knew what it did but didn't have hands on experience outside reading some reports >asks questions about corporate culture which she went into some detail on >she bails after 30 minutes and says if I have anymore questions to email her >doesn't talk next steps, the actual needs of the position or salary. >doesn't respond to thank you email
So when should I reach out to the recruiter for next steps? I got no next steps from her but she would be my coworker so I don't know if that would be something she'd need.
Congrats on the interview. I don't see anything wrong with reaching out to the recruiter asap asking about the next steps. It's always good to be proactive. Just mention you're excited about the opportunity and want to do whatever is neccessary to move forward.Good luck man.
This. You already sent a "thank you" email so badgering her with further emails might put you in a bad light, whereas contacting the recruiter would be a safer route and then the recruiter could even put in a good word for you, say "This guy is excited about the opportunity," etc.
I have a friend that sent a few follow-up emails for every position he applied to and he stayed unemployed for a while.
