In 99 they had to bailout a hedge fund, in 2008 they had to bail out banks, in 2020 they'll have to bailout central banks. The next crisis is central bank Fiat currency. Crypto is one way of holding and transacting funds outside the Central Bank BIS system. I think it's safe to hedge your bets but crypto is not going anywhere.

There's also the fact that market activity in exchanges now is nowhere near the volume in 2017. Anyone playing with crypto in 2017 would know that. Even small exchanges were very active back then. Now they're inhabited by crickets.
