Tags are key so they find your shit. So appeal to pop culture. Just know there are some tags which will get your work flagged and taken down like "disney" and "spiderman". I've had many designs taken down (but there is literally no repercussions other than taking down your design.)

usually they'll get to it before it sells. but search "pokemon" and "nintendo" on redbubble and you'll get related items that are selling. My guess is they skirt around the copyright by using tags like "classic video game" or something like that
