What do you think are the chances of such a thing? To be honest, all this Craig talk about traceable transactions is what really had me looking at the price of XMR in the first place. I liked the price and bought. The emission trail and the endgame tokenomics of XMR seem more sustainable than BTC

yeah the tail emission is pretty based because we don't need to rely on a fee market when we get there and its a linear emission so its pretty negligible -under 1% if i remember correctly.
we don't know if a fee market will be sufficient for bitcoin when the time comes

So, to talk a little more about bitcoin, after the last BTC is mined in like 100 years or whatever they are going to rely on tx fees to incentivize the facilitation of the network. So transactions would just be prioritized by the amount of btc they are willing to pay in fees, right? While we XMR will continue to have a very small and constant amount of monero mined into eternity. I believe moneros might be tied to a specific time period if I am correct. Like a third of a Monero every day. It seems like it would make more sense to go by the number of blocks like BTC does for its halving, wouldn’t it? If not why not?

yeah the tail emission starts in about may 2022 and yeah its based on block height like bitcoin. blockchains don't know what time is, so everything is pretty much based on the block height instead. (each block for monero is targeted for about every 2 minutes)

when tail emission starts the block reward will be about .6 XMR per block

It's used for things like sidechains.
