You're still going? How many times do you need to get btfo'd before you stop shilling this old scam?

both these posts suck so far. say something, be specific. why am i supposed to look at 0xbtc? why are you saying it's a scam? substantive posts!!!

0xBTC defines/is the first implementation of ERC-918, the mineable token standard which is now a part of Ethereum (See EIP # 918). Development of dapps and other software that expands the ERC20 ecosystem by building on the expandable 0xBTC smart contract has been nothing short of impressive. The 0xBTC community is full of people who are talented, intelligent, opinionated, enthusiastic about tech and fair currency, most of which would love to see the last nail put in the ICO coffin. People mining, trading, developing and volunteering their time and energy are walking the walk, producing real results, while the "cults of personality" and "fake satoshis" bicker.

0xBTC and the mineable token communities around it are those rare genuine things you find in a sea of fakes and crypto-loud mouthes.

One of the biggest criticisms to 0xBitcoin is that it distributes via Proof of Work, but it uses Ethereum's PoW as security rendering smart contract proof of work as redundant. I would argue that the economics of electricity-based distribution stands on it's own, however, taking a step outside of my own bias I realized that perhaps there's a point here - even better, an opportunity.

This is a diagram I put together late last year outlining a suite of potential Layer 2 applications using 0xBitcoin's proof of work. Put simply, one can propagate 0xb PoW onto Layer 2 services while keeping them decentralized. This image comes from a 2 part Medium article outlining the details of a simple system for those interested:

In essence, one can use a sort of 'merged mining scheme' to chain and secure multiple off-chain services like cross chain bridges, decentralized oracles, payment channels, or even layer 2 compute/storage systems, eventually rewarding the original miner 0xBitcoin fees for security services rendered. The really cool thing is that given the deterministic nature of 0xBitcoin's Proof of Work, these services would benefit from the security of 0xBitcoin's Proof of Work solution, without effecting any of the existing infrastructure. So all mining software and hardware, the mining pools ( shout out to Mikers ) and of course the contract itself remains unaffected. This is a new type of layer 2 infrastructure that can be daisy-chained between the mined solution and the mint() method of the 0xBitcoin contract.

We are currently experimenting with a crosschain bridge, and playing around with a layer 2 decentralized oracle. Hop on over to the discord and say 'hi', it's really friendly over there.

LURKERS & NEWFAGS BEWARE - 0xBITCOIN WAS A BIZ PND THAT THOUSANDS OF ANONS GOT BURNT ON IN 2018

0xBitcoin was a Jow Forums invented FPGA miner scam token.
Almost everywhere online 0xBTC threads are deleted, ie plebbit, its that big of a scam.
The actual daily 24hr volume on 0xBTC is under $10,000 - CMC reported volume is 95% wash trading
Don't believe me then buy $300 worth of 0xBTC and watch the price move by 20%

Around the time that these miners were pumping 0xBTC they shilled Jow Forums CONSTANTLY with it.
There was at least 5-10 spam threads about it daily up until they dumped their bags on all the anons buying in.
It was a coordinated pump and dump and these 0xBTC scamming faggots think that Jow Forums has forgotten about what they did.
Lots of anons were fooled into buying it at $2-4.
Now there are tons of bag holders of this shitcoin and ALL of the 0xBTC threads on Jow Forums are made by these miner faggots where they coordinate Jow Forums shilling in their 0xBitcoin discord.

This project has a better chance of always being worthless than even worth $5.
No one will really tell you the truth about this scam because so many ppl were suckered into buying it on Jow Forums
Truth is, not many ppl are smart and wise to scams and it takes a high IQ to realize that 0xBTC is a miners scam token.
What's more is the FPGA miners mining this shit are now only making about $0.08/0xBTC and it keeps dropping.
It's incredibly not profitable for anyone besides FPGA fags to mine this shit.

Don't fall for this fucking miner scam token, its always going to be worthless.
>entirely community driven
>zero money for marketing or exchange listings
>scam artists for devs - who literally orchestrated a pump and dump on bizlets
>miner shill faggots who constantly spam threads about it bc they are so desperate for you to buy their bags because LITERALLY NO ONE IS BUYING THIS SHIT ANYMORE

What's more is that 0xBitcoin DOESNT EVEN PUMP WITH LEGACY BITCOIN!!
>do not reply to 0xbtc shill posters

I'll pay 10 LINK to whoever can post the images of how 0xBTC started on Jow Forums as a scamcoin to try to shill and make $$ on selling to newbizzies. Meant to save them last time they were posted and forgot.

I guess their trying to spark something

I'd be interested in seeing these too. I hear this claim repeated in nearly every 0xbtc shred and not a bit of evidence, ever, despite people asking for someone to provide it. I expect as usual there won't be anything forthcoming because there doesn't seem to actually be any such evidence

meant 0xbtc thread... was trying to type "shred of evidence" kek

why am i still holding this copypasta?

They exist. I was on Jow Forums when this shit started and I was in those threads AND the original discord shill group. I warned Jow Forums many times as an insider to dump their bags around the $3 mark when the shill insiders were talking about selling their stacks, many didn't listen.

I didn't take pictures of that stuff, I don't really screenshot anything, but in retrospect I wish I had. That being said I've DEFINITELY seen some other user post the original Jow Forums threads where the idea kicked off so I know there are screenshots out there. Maybe I can just find them on warosu..

>Maybe I can just find them on warosu
That would be helpful. Not gonna outright accuse you of just plain lying, but I think here on Jow Forums that's pretty much implied regardless. Talk is cheap with nothing to back it up and a motivation to either try to lower the price to accumulate or just to vent hurt fee fees because you lost money. (Referring mostly to this guy )

yea the problem is I don't think "0xBTC" was used until after they decided on a name, then the first threads posted were actually on Reddit but no one on Reddit cared so they started shilling here. Not 100% sure what I'd need to look for, will look some if I get time later.

If you can remember what they called it or generally what they talked about maybe someone can find them. Honestly, with so much bitching about this coin full of implications of a huge documented "paper trail" of scammery, and yet not a single link to the actual paper trail that MUST exist (particularly on warosu, as you said) I'd be amazed to see anything actually incriminating at this point. But I'm certainly open to be proven wrong. The discord obviously exists, it's on their website, and it sounds like they invited people from Jow Forums on there. None of that is actually wrong in any way. So the only part of this that sounds bad is the claim that the guys in the discord were manipulating the price.

is there an 0xLTC?

Attached: oxbtcisascam.png (1152x1142, 644K)

There actually is but it's not a real thing. Some of them made some variants and called them things like 0xLTC, 0xBCH but none of them were ever really traded anywhere and they never really went above 0. They were basically just programming experiments

Attached: 21aqbc.jpg (620x349, 59K)

Explain what this screenshot is supposed to imply. There is literally nothing incriminating about that, we all know people on their discord shill on Jow Forums like with a million other coins

Fair enough, though just looking at the chart you should be able to tell there was some kind of coordinated pump and dump (regardless of how that happened or what implications it has for the future). What little I know about this token is from that period and watching the behind the scenes of that occur. At the time it didn't seem legitimate to me at all. If it's taken on some other kind of legitimate form since then I guess that's possible though seems like a weird twist of events.

At this point I've done what I can to try to steer people away. If people want to touch a chart that looks like that in general they're not likely to listen to reason so it doesn't matter what I say anyway, though those photos are pretty damning.

Based on the chart it looks like it's going to start a new leg down maybe to 10 cents or so. As long as the people mining for free can offload to bots and suckers I don't see it going to zero but it'll probably slowly bleed out as it has been.

Oh absolutely there was an apparent pump and dump. The story from the 0xBTC guys was something about a bunch of Chinese miners showing up, I don't really know anything about it. I don't take their story at face value either, but the claim is not that "there was a pump and dump", which has happened to a ton of coins, but that "the coin is a scam designed in order to do a pump and dump on Jow Forums".
I've done my own analysis about the price that I'm not going to go into, but I sure wish all these supposedly altruistic people trying to "warn people to steer clear" out of the goodness of their hearts would actually bring some fucking evidence. Just something that's real and doesn't sound like it was written by a

The guy/guys whose technical discussions spawned Toast's creation of 0xBTC were on the dedicated Discord server. Only once the mining software started to mature by nonstop community contribution did /biz find out about it at all, and the low-quality racist troll accounts who joined the Discord just to spam or post weird baseless FUD like our "copypasta crusader "" right here. The people discussing and coding wanted the biztards gone because they contributed absolutely nothing

Toast is occasionally found on Reddit or posting Medium articles, sometimes Twitter messages. While 0xBTC was being developed, tested and built upon Biz was busy saying to avoid it because the creator "was black"

You don't have proof because none of it happened, Johnny Come Lately. The only thing /Biz can coordinate is losing money simultaneously

You do realize when the alleged manipulation occurred that the people in the Discord were dealing with a denial of service attack on the major pools and competing short-lived scam pool in China? That they were implementing security mitigations and were as in the dark about what the price was doing as any stock market investor is on any given day, with hundreds of inputs they don't know factoring into what happens to the price?

Anyone who sold tokens at the top wasn't acting in malicious intent. Someone who bought at the top made a very bad decision with their finances and shouldn't let it colour his opinions of the legitimacy of the 0xBTC project or the two dozen projects or more that have sprung up around it.

Thousands of anons got burnt on chainlink when it went down from 1.20 to 0.16 cents, does this mean link was a scam?
No.
Just cause a project dips doesn't mean it's a scam. Now is the time to buy!

Shitty larp, none of this happened. The first Jow Forums post was more than a week after the contract was already deployed with the name "0xBitcoin". Your cheap lie about how the name wasn't initially decided upon to make it seem like there are posts on warosu that just can't be found holds no truth.

sirs buy pls sirs
