Intermittent fasting I do know works well, especially in conjunction with caloric restrictions.

You need to cut out carbs at all. When compared, relatively low fat diets actually promote slightly more fat loss than low carb diets, with all else (including calories) being equal. Mainly because it's very easy to store dietary fat as adipose which can happen even when there is low circulating insulin. Though it's not that significant

Exercise and cutting out unnecessary things in your diet, think Ice cream. Go to Jow Forums and read the sticky, ignore everything else since they're flaming homosexuals but the sticky is a really good resource. Pick one of the workout plans they give and stick with it. If you have a job it's even easier, the timing is perfect. Eat at 11-13, and something small when I get home at 16, and then a good meal around 18-20. That's an 18h fast 5 days a week, on weekends I like to slack Abit more. Going to the gym also thrown in the mix after work is great. Only problem is I think I eat too little so my gains have not been that impressive the last couple months... I throw in a 50g protein shake each day as I really have hard time eating large meals so atleast I get enough protein.

Genetic in my case. Dad was 6' 2" and 120 lbs in college. Both grandfathers were skinny. One died in his late 70s after constantly drinking and smoking (due to flying combat in WWII, Korea and Vietnam and having 14 kids) and other is alive at 92.

Basically caffeine is a vasoconstrictor (makes blood vessels smaller). This actually is why it's in Excedrin and can help with headaches. It also increases blood pressure and releases norepinephrine and other chemicals. Over time, especially at doses above 100 mg a day, dependency can occur. When you become reliant upon it, you cannot function without it. It also makes the day more of a rollercoaster energy and emotional wise as you'll have bursts of productivity, but will be less energized and focused on the downturn. It also messes with sleep when taken at night, so sleep cycles aren't what they normally should be. This tends to encourage taking more caffeine to make up for the lower quality sleep.

There are a few exceptions as some people find it easier to fall asleep with caffeine, but this is true ADHD kids. My dad's a doc and some kid patients of him take a low dose of Adderall to fall asleep. Very rare, but happens.

When it comes to caffeine use, green tea is a good balance of caffeine, especially if you aren't used to it. Ranges 25-50 mg of caffeine depending on quality (lower quality tea tends to have more caffeine) and longer steeping times increases caffeine levels in your tea. Heads up that most caffeine is transferred to the drink within the first 30 seconds.

start simple, avoid breakfast first and eat lunch at 3pm or so, extend it when you feel comfortable, soon enough you will pass all day without eating and just water without feeling ill (actually you will feel energized af)
