I agree with you in principle, essentially that one of the biggest cognitive gaps between the intelligent and the less intelligent is the ability to extrapolate consequences based on an underlying set of principles. I believe that while a less intelligent person could apply hard work and achieve much of the same academic success and knowledge base as that of a more intelligent person, the power gap lies in this process of extrapolation. I’ve often noticed that there is a serious time gap in the realisation of the implications of a new piece of information in less bright people, or sometimes an inability to grasp why something is a bad idea full stop in those same people.
Game theory is probably the most obvious place you’ll notice these disparities and the applications of game theory is massive across politics, economics and biology.
However the differences between social strata are still affected by differences in race, culture, and perhaps most overlooked language. Our grasp language often defines our behaviour far more than most on the far left or far right realise. That being said when you consider all the implications of diversity and rampant capitalism you realise the true solution is primitivism as the journey our society undergoes has only one destination regardless of how you try to steer it. Controlling the economy, controlling ethnic diversity, etc are only stop gaps that each bring their own issues.
