Are you having issues with IDEX using Metamask? Some user recommended using a throwaway account directly with IDEX instead of Metamask and it's made a huge difference in speed and completed transactions. I'm actually liking IDEX now.

I haven't had any issues with idex so far really. I have metamask but idex I'm just using the regular etherdelta wallet that idex made me. The one thing that's made me furious on idex is I set a good buy order for QNT and the next day it mooned over 50% and my buy order got fuckin skipped. But I don't blame idex for that. I should have just bought in at the next asking price.

In IDEX, see the option to "Create a new account". So just create a new account with JSON file and private key to use as a "throwaway" account where you transfer in some funds, buy some shit, then transfer them out.

user whether you access your coins on mew or IDEX, the balances are tied to your private keys and these interfaces simply allow you to view and interact with these token balances

Well I mean that depends. Are you using a private key in your computer? There's always a chance someone can get it. If you want to be super safe / paranoid, etc., one would transfer these funds from this wallet to another wallet that's on, say, on a hardware wallet, etc. It's never a good idea to trust a wallet that has a lot of stuff in it that's been used with a copy / pasted private key on your computer. You have to be extra paranoid.

well i never unlocked my wallet using the private key. everytime the json file with the pw.
so i think im safe. if vidt goes up substantial in price then i will create a new wallet on a airgapped computer i think.

JSON is safer but still not 100% safe. You're still entering a password and you have the file that's accessible from your computer.
