We create a classic fork of Chainlink, where node runners do not require KYC. We airdrop an equivalent amount of classic tokens (LINC) to current addresses that contain LINK.
Who gets the 650 million outstanding LINC? We give 100% of that amount to node runners. Perhaps we can have a 4-year halvening period just like Bitcoin.
Chainlink has already been forked so many times that if it's forked even one more time the whole blockchain could shatter.
Brayden Richardson
>forking an erc20 token I do not think that word means what you think it means. Just don't make those 650m tokens not in circulation in the first place.
James Miller
>forking blockchain middleware Assume you'll keep maintaining the code base? When do you expect you'll have threshold signatures and sgx integrated? What about the deposit and penalty contracts?
We pull updates from the original Chainlink repositories whenever necessary.
Christopher Nelson
This is the shittiest idea I've ever heard. Who the fuck is gonna use your shitty network in order the make the price go up?
Levi Collins
anyone who wants API data for their smart contracts
Chase Fisher
Is this what they call mild retardation? I mean, you can form thoughts by the looks of it, but they are juvenile at best, more likely some retardation
Jace Myers
And they are gonna use you and your neetnodes over trusted and vetted KYC'd nodes from Chainlink because why?
KYC on nodes is fucking bullish, what don't you get about this?
Asher Howard
If nodes need to be trusted, the system is not fully decentralized. Why don't bitcoin miners require KYC?
They use us because our network will be bigger We get more nodes because we do not require KYC. We also get more nodes because node runners are given a better deal (higher inflation rate, no funds for development).
Benjamin Reyes
Why is bitcoin 10 years old with no adoption
Joshua Gutierrez
So you are aiming for the shitcoin traffic, while real Link gets all the big boys traffic.
>If nodes need to be trusted, the system is not fully decentralized.
Oh it's just this old FUD again from a new angle. Pass.
Caleb Nguyen
> So you are aiming for the shitcoin traffic, while real Link gets all the big boys traffic.
Might be a sligthly different market, who knows where it leads. But if people trust the network, it will grow.
> Oh it's just this old FUD again from a new angle. Pass.
It is called trustless for a reason.
Benjamin Richardson
You realize Sergey would get half those forked coins right?
Anthony Green
None of the 650 million he would get.
Joseph Walker
It wont go anywhere but at least I will get a fuckload of your shitfork coins to sell so I can buy more real Link.
Actually please do it. It's free money for all of us. Just make sure to separate them so selling LINC doesn't also sell our LINK.
Joseph Flores
I could (im a big link deluded marine) possibly accept that his might work for illegal markets. like pirate bay or some darknet shit?
Jacob Sullivan
It will work great for drug deals
Tyler Hughes
My sides!
Levi Edwards
will the 350mio link intended for node holders ever enter circulation? how many of sergeys might? being serious here
Jace Thomas
>community already splitting and fork in sight due to mistrust in the core team Good new fud.
Camden Russell
It will work exactly like bitcoin. Everything goes to miners (node runners). Nothing goes to the team Absolutely nothing. Everything goes to the network. And the 350M intended for node runners along with all the other funds that are not currently part of the circulation will go to node runners.
David Hall
I picked up a million of these for 7 bucks back in 2017 for the lulz. Maybe I'll dump them on batshit retarded newfags if we can get a pump going.
