Ok, I can help with the freelance part at least. I used to work in the interior design industry, so I can tell you right now that the markup on everything is insane and even small design firms have the money to spend. I do bulk graphic design work (think inventory tags, not pretty postcards) for a lot of the designers, design firms, and showrooms in my city. I charge $30 a tag and work off a template. It's about 30-60 seconds of work per tag. The main thing with this is that it's kind of random when you're getting the work. Sometimes you can go a couple of months without anything (usually October-December) because it's the dead period, other times you're getting orders of 50+ units from everyone at the same time because it's right after one of the semi-annual markets where all of the brands show their new collections. The reason the design firms/showrooms want their own tags is because when the brand gives you the tag, it says the brand name on it so a customer can just see what it looks like in person and then they can go to Amazon like a sane person and get it for cheaper. If you can't into app making but you're functional with Photoshop, this could be an option for you. It requires two skills: social and intermediate Photoshop skills. I'm almost 30 and I was always the youngest person by a good decade or two at all of these design events so it kind of blows people's minds when you're actually competent with Photoshop.
TL;DR- Graphic design, not the pretty kind but the practical kind businesses need to function.

I don't know how good it is now but in the past you could find a bunch of literally who coins on bitcointalk with equihash mine them early and hope it makes it onto an exchange and cash in, you could make 2-50 times the electricity cost of mining but the risk is that the coin doesn't hit any exchange you get nothing

The hard part is discipline and waiting for a good trade which only comes once every few weeks. Then you will most likely only win about 60% of those trades so using kelly can only bet 20%.
At worst (if you are making 1 trade every two weeks, after a year, you will be up ((1*1.2^15.6) * 0.8^ 10.4 - 1) * 100 = 68.7%).
But... you need discipline. And patience.
