it's ok op, he's just mean

I hate how on reddit one joke tends to get out of hand and becomes the defining theme of a broad community.

e.g. "autism" on Jow Forumswallstreetbets they all call each other autists and sometimes make idiotic posts just to bait people into calling them autists and they just won't let it go

fucking hell

Attached: Wsb.jpg (200x200, 7K)

You have to go back

It's because of the upvote/downvote system, it creates an incentive to post a joke you know other people will understand and totally epically updoot, good sir! It also doesn't help that the average IQ on that website is no joke sub-normal.

MEAN, GREEN, and not bagholding GALT LMFAO

The only useful stock related function plebbit serves is as a news screener for bioshit and dude weed. Go to relevant pages, see the news stories of the day. They're fast and they often catch stuff not on my watchlist.

Don't actually open any of those threads and read the comments. I mean, you can, but you will regret it.

It depends what it is bro? 17% isn't that high if you have a good stock if its a rando like XYZ Corp maybe yeah.

I actually probably won't take profit, it's supposed to be a home-grown dividend reinvestment portfolio after all

I've been on that website for 10 years the comment section was sort of entertaining back then but now they are all shit or spam I have to talk myself out of clicking on the comment section in places like Jow Forumsworldnews because it is really identical to the comment section from news websites such as the dailymail or some shit
I have to stop going back

>Its making deals in 5G every freaking day almost its insane
>Earnings are next month and should beat expectations harder than Mike Tyson
>Depending how bullish it gets it could do a 60% run based on high of 5 year
>Its actually a gigantic merger target because Ericsson has always wanted it and there are a lot of big time 5G companies who would easily buy Nokia for like 2 billion, like Lam or Xilinx, competition is fierce

it's actually why democracy always fails. reddit's system of promoting popular shit creates a culture of retards, when some one questions it, you get down voted into the abyss where you're never heard from.

What i do is be frugal with volitile stocks and cash out if they hit 150% or just go down with the ship. I put large amounts into divys and value stocks. That way you are getting some money from divs and occasional wins on high volitilz.

Woah, it’s almost like somebody sort of... democratic republic, with a representative democracy would be a worthwhile compramise. Maybe once that uses some of the best features of capitalism, while also having some socialist programs and regulatory framework... no no, maybe in some sort of utopian future. For now, monarchy is probably the best we can hope for.

I wasn’t talking about you, bagsan. But thanks for the update. I hope you’re not buying overpriced raw fish just to get that pussy.

yeah it was like way overpriced, and the service was pretty shitty... i mean sushi is hard to fuck up unless you've got old ass fish... fucking no onions sauce on the table, fucking no water on the table... literally had to ask for fucking onions sauce at a sushi joint.... what ever the saki didn't even taste good, but after the first one they all go down easy.

if you want to invest in japanese equities you need to look at demographics and adjust your strategy accordingly.

This is very outdated chart... what do you buy on the Nik? Is there a VTI/SPY equivalent you like?

I bought the dip in NTDOY for that nice Jap exposure, violating my basis and putting me in the red. Not so smart!

All i'm going to say is if you're fucking worried about manufacturing and automation, look at japanese tech, their a leader in robotics, and they also have an aging population and you can invest into their fucking old folks homes.... this shit isn't fucking exciting, but it's honestly safe fucking growth for the next few years.

Unfortunately, I didn’t buy Lulu. Dumb stupid idiot me.

I have no idea what you’re talking about here.

I dont buy individual companies on the nikkei because BOJ is buying etfs

Oh. Is that what comped is? One of the first things that came to mind when I heard about the guy was Huntington’s disease, or another neurological disorder that manifests suddenly and late in life. But then I found out he had been hoarding weapons for a long time, if I remember right?

Could just be an attempt to leave a mark on the world. He wasn’t able to create anything lasting or leave a legacy, didn’t have kids so couldn’t pass his hopes down to the next generation. So just... tried to gain some infamy/notoriety?

CRM on the dip?

>BOJ
>fail

Son, the BOJ is close to owning majority stake in almost every publically traded Nip company. And when that day comes, they will both have total control of the monetary supply AND the majority of productive property.

That's not failing. That's their win condition, bro

The dip hasn’t finished yet.

>pls respond
>If things get violent (30years and 8 days after the June 4th incident), could put a huge amount of pressure to not be friendly with China about the trade deal
>very unlikely that things turn violent, but it is looking like China is turning up the heat on HK politically, will probably continue to suppress judicial and legislative process
For now, local police are violent enough to injure and scare protestors,
>hoping to hear from that poster about their thoughts :)
The Hong Kong government want to pass the bill by next Thursday, thus it is possible for things to become set in the stone before G20 actually start
I guess one thing to note about the situation is that, how foreign governments are responding to the legislation. Especially America. They have stated that the bill violated principles of the Hong Kong Relation Act which was the legal basis that let American government treat commerce with Hong Kong in a way different from how it treat commerce with mainland China. If American government decided to amend or even abolish the act, then the basis of the Hong Kong economy will be shakened (in addition to the impact due to the extradition bill itself)
>They have the treaty that the British signed with the PRC, but that might as well be toilet paper at this stage.
In the past few years China have stated many times that the treaty was merely a historical document after handover of Hong Kong sovereignty in 1997 when actions stated in the treaty have been completed. (And they're even trying to rewrite the history to say that China never lost sovereignty of Hong Kong, and what happened in 1997 was just a resumption of Chinese sovereignty on Hong Kong)

brainlet here. I have an IRA that I opened this year. How do I move that money to a money market account so I can use that money to buy stocks? I can't buy stocks from that account through Ally, so I figure I'll just make an IRA account on the investment tab, but I can't add money from my IRA. Do I have to take the funds out and put them in the new account? Help plz

Open an IRA account with some1 else that lets you trade (Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, etc.) and move your IRA over there. Don't cash out and move it or you'll get taxed.

I'm not quite sure I follow everything you said, but assuming the Ally IRA doesn't offer stocks, you should be able to transfer those funds to a different IRA if you open one. Read up on IRA transfers or rollovers.

yeah so I opened an IRA Savings account originally for the 2018 tax year. It doesn't do anything other than give me like 2%. Can I just open another IRA Investment account and transfer the money to that one?

I'm guessing so far Taiwan and HK have been tariff free for now and a way for the PRC to mitigate the effects. China knows Trump will clamp down harder so it wants to head off any potential sedition in HK.

Gonna be interesting month...

As long as its classified as an IRA I see no issue moving from one to another. 401K/IRA rollovers are pretty common.

Sounds like recent developments are really as bad as they seem. Can understand the motivation of the protestors, somewhat. But it really makes me just want to learn more about Chinese government's treatment of Hong Kong, but also Taiwan, Tibet... and I guess Macau was basically part of Portugal until 1974? This makes me feel very ignorant, but also makes me wonder why China has so many Autonomous regions, Special administrative regions, and a claimed province (Tibet). And that's not including the disputes over islands and maritime territory. And then there's Xinjiang, which has also caught my attention recently. Very interesting happenings there, seems like it is a large testing ground for population control through technology.

All large countries have disputes like these, but this seems different to me. These are large areas, some with distinct groups of people who seem unified in opposition to PRC's rule.

I know China is gigantic, and that perhaps has something to do with all the conflicts, but that seems like a large obstacle for a heavily centralized government. Which would make the push towards mass surveillance and control very understandable, even if frightening.

Thank you for your posts, Hong Kong user. You are one of the posters who has valuable information and is always making welcome contributions.

ok that's my next question, should it just be an IRA or a Rollover IRA?

>past few weeks

more like months

Attached: 3254dsf.jpg (225x225, 9K)

That's basically it. China is not unified unless under an autocrat. They even have special economic zones that are taxed/govern differently like the recent tech one near HK by the New Territories.

rollover is just the term used when moving from a non-traditional-IRA into a traditional-IRA

I assume your account is a traditional-IRA so you're just simply moving from one IRA account to another IRA account (like moving from one bank to another bank)

ah got it. Thanks a lot dude.

But talk to the bank/institution you're setting up this new account first and make sure everything is kosher before you transfer. Don't want a taxable event hit ya.

Big boys like Fidelity and TD Ameritrade do this all the time so they have ppl that help.

I want a refund.

But WM is killing it?
Can they be called a utility? Did they not see the gains other utilities did today?

it's an energy exploration company, not anything like WM
it's like polar opposite from WM

Glad to hear from you, from what I've heard the HK economy is in for some rough times ahead no matter what plays out politically with PRC

(dubb dubs)
But user, that dumpster is proudly serviced by the fine people at WM

CHK was actually my free stock from RH. I keep getting updates about it, I think some SA article just came out by an investor who is increasing their shares by 300% or something, saying it's a buy under $4. Reminds me of someone... but this guy may have a point.

Attached: Screen Shot 2019-06-12 at 11.37.23 PM.png (1400x706, 74K)

China has mitigated the tariffs mostly by lowering them for everyone else that is not US.

> sedition in HK
Generally a State will stop sedition.
Not just China, but any state.

Take for example the Confederate States of US which wanted to start a free trade economic policy; it was in their constitution. North didn't much like it because it would have annihilated their economy and lot of blood was shed.

First for $VRUS to $0.03 today.

Hope you all bought your $0.01s!

Not saying you're wrong, but people have been saying this about every board and general I've ever seen. I've said it myself too. But maybe things are just never as good as you remember them being when you first discovered them.

I don't mind buying CHK or NBR under $2, but I'd rather buy WM under $2 ;^)

at this point I just gave up on my TDA funds settling, I'll never buy VRUS
It's been almost a week, I REALLY wish I could have

hurts more (to me) that pre-2014 internet is gone forever
there really was an inflection point circa 2012-2013 where normies and women hit critical mass on reddit and started ruining everywhere else almost like a coordinated effort

Attached: 1551830398297.jpg (1130x470, 360K)

perhaps, biz seemed to peak back when BTC was nearing $1000 though, more non crypto threads
the balance has been broken, with /sm/ being essentially the only old part to survive (the old crypto generals have long since died out even)

but yea most boards have always been 99% shit, for a long time

i remember /b/ and /v/ being better at certain points, but those points are from before 2012 (probably a year or two earlier) so its very possible that was from legitimate nostalgia

then again i havnt been on either of those boards in a few years now too

>nflection point circa 2012-2013
you either mean 2008-2009ish or late 2016ish? or you think 2013 because its when you started browsing
Jow Forums did get worse once moot added flags though, which was around 2013 or 2014 if i remember right?

Attached: 1543416746745.jpg (500x748, 68K)

Jeeze it takes longer than a week for your funds to settle?

What did you mail them in an envelope?

2008-2009 r*ddit was still OK. Nerds, few women. It wasn't cool or useful, but it wasn't harmful to the internet at large at that time.
It's own quality was ruined in 2010-2011 when norms, women, and marketers really started to roll in. 90% of r*ddit becomes unusable at this point. Then after that (2012-) these people started to turn their eyes towards the rest of the internet in a larger and more coordinated way.

I can't comment on pre-2018 Jow Forums because it's the kind of board that I would see the catalog and move on

bank transfer, they would let me use my funds to buy normie-approved stocks and ETFs that same day but I can't buy dangerous things like VRUS ~

That's lame. I'd rot without my garbage OTC stocks.

The rest of the market is nice. But the OTC is that grungy place with no institutions and less computers where you're competing against the common retard.

I don't understand why people are so adverse to the OTC. It's great.

you OTC trade based only on information that you can find from the internet or do you do any offline research?

It's just an information game, I'd be worried that OTC trading would benefit people 'in-the-know' so much. Anyone trading just from 'open' information they could read online would experience some slippage every few positions from that kind of thing

because I am the common retard
>t. guy who fucked his stoplosses up and lost a lot of money on KBLB
I'd kill to buy back in at where my stoplosses sold (about 21 cents I think)

The creation of the space force is not an earnest attempt to create a functional military apparatus in space, it's an attempt by the Trump administration to form a corp of military intelligence officers loyal to the executive branch as opposed Office of Naval Intelligence or Air Force ISR. More interesting to me than pipe dream star wars bullshit is that Trump ostensibly doesn't trust the existing military intelligence apparatus.

Attached: breezy.jpg (941x1386, 416K)

You don't really need to do much offline DD with penny stocks. Most of them are P&D's. You should be able to tell right away if something is a P&D and figure out if you should play it or not.

If I'm going to long something I do all the DD possible but that's really rare, the only things I've bought to hold are $KBLB and $VRUS.

I've been around the OTC for a long time though. I guess you get a feel for it after a while. You can immediately tell when something is hot garbage and when there is an opportunity for money or not.

Never trust anyone on the OTC but yourself. I only shill things here I think aren't P&D's but you should always do your own DD.

Chin up. It's a learning experience. I set like 2% stop losses and if I get stopped out I wait on the sidelines for a new entry. This is only when a stock isn't moving though. Most things trade sideways, that's when you want to get in them.

I don't touch things that are moving. (Unless I'm swing trading it) If I missed out, I missed out. FOMO will violate your anus if you're hopping into volatility.

the true space force was created decades ago during Bush I
Trump doesn't have the clearance to know about it. some members of his administration do, which can make things awkward sometimes ;p

do you use a screener (tradingview, etc.) to start looking at OTC stocks?
I guess what I'm asking is, what are your highest-level 'dashboard' views of the OTC market that you use to monitor it?
