It will be a standard and will have a value associated with it that you can bet will be greater than 0. It doesn't have to overtake BTC, humans are weird with our value systems. But it will be adopted in industry. So at this point betting against it is silly. Price action wise there are likely better short term bets.

IOTA is run by SJWs who want to create "smart refugee cities". It's centralized crypto, meaning is not a cryptocurrency in any meaningful sense.
Even though transactions are validated by a central server, every client has to do PoW to pretend it's a real crypto because there is no separate mining allowed. This slows everything down.
