ITK here

Yeah Chainlink is amazingly useful, and the BigQuery integration is wonderful, but the question still lingers...

How do you know the external data brought in by Chainlink is TRUSTWORTHY, PRIVATE, and TAMPERPROOF, which is what businesses absolutely require? Well, that's where _____ comes in.

I'll let you figure it out - it's not that difficult. It's not a meme either. It'll be revealed soon and Sergey has been singing its praises behind the scenes. You'll want to buy more LINK and a LOT of the token I'm referring to.

Linkies dont care about the tech or game theory.

Linkies only care about partnerships.

This is how i know it’s all a scam and i will never buy.

i want to chainlink sergey to a tredmill that fat fuck

what you are referring to is known as the oracles' oracle problem. sergey has created a nifty solution for this problem called chainlinklink. it's a middleware json parser you put in front of the json middleware parser.

RLC will make api’s obselete

Retarded fuck, read the white paper.

When staking and reputation is activated, NODES GET PENALIZED for providing false data. The whole purpose is to crowd source a correct data, if you fail, you lose your collateral. It’s very simple user.

WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER

DO NOT UNDER ESTIMATE THE POWER OF POSITIVE THOUGHT! ESPECIALLY COLLECTIVE POSITIVE THOUGHT!

THIS SHIT IS GOING TO REACH $1,000 EASILY!
HOLD THAT THOUGHT AND VISUALIZE IT IN YOUR MIND EVERYDAY AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE STARTING NOW AND IT WILL MANIFEST INTO REALITY. DO IT! I'M NOT JOKING!

VISUALIZE AS OFTEN AND AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE!

This is whats going to happen:
>this latest sub $1 discord fud campaign will only shake price down to a higher weekly low
>meanwhile, retards expecting equal lows at 1.60 and 1.40 are gonna neck themselves when their orders inevitably aren't filled
>tether will crash
>btc will dump (into LINK)
>alt coins will BTFO once and for all
>LINK will do the damn thing into the singularity

you had two years

this is your last warning

get in now or cope

Lol it’s just a Jason Parser. I could have written this in HTML in a weekend. Can’t believe retards are still shilling this scamcoin.

LINK is bullish as fuck scream all you want though

Yeah, that's true, however "false data" is a little arbitrary. Does it mean incorrect? Does it mean inaccurate? Did the measurement break? Did the person with the highest reputation get their system hacked and now lose all their collateral and reputation? You need to be able to address that, luckily Sergey has taken steps to with this partnership.

"False" data isn't the only thing either, as I said it's also about data privacy and ownership, neither of which a reputation system takes care of in itself. It's all good! These collaborations are just about making Chainlink (and the networks it operates on) even better.

>typical Pajeet shilling his "skills"
this isn't Fiver, shooo

Sell ur bags lol.

That still leaves the possibility for Sybil attacks. For instance, if me and a bunch of friends make a few nodes that gather weather data and are picked for a job that pays out flood insurance, we could fake the data together, while the other lesser nodes acting in good faith get penealized — the network none the wiser.

I posted this in another thread and from my non-technical background it seems to be a workaround. Would like to hear what other anons say:

The way nodes work is that each node is dedicated towards one data source. This always irked me and seemed dumb (really isn’t decentralized). Ideally each node should be able to pointed by the network at whatever data source the network needs at that moment. But then, that creates a separate problem. How do data sources get picked? Would seem that it would now be left to the chainlink team to connect to each data source (this is obviously unfeasible as it would be a MASSIVE undertaking). Node operators getting to pick their data sources and then be sort of “lords of those realms” is what makes it worthwhile. A work around for this that I can imagine is as follows:

>Node operators still pick and connect to data sources.
>The network recognizes them as the initial implementors of said data sources
>The node operator then begins being assigned jobs as they come online
>Said node operator may never even be assigned a job for that data source
>Instead separate nodes are constantly shuffled for whenever a job requires that data
>however since the network recognizes that the one node created that data source it pays out a small bonus to the original node as an incentivization tool to have node operators seek out new data sources

This scheme would basically remove all chances of Sybil atacks (especially as the network grew). As well as create an environment where node operators are even more inclined to constantly be looking for new data points

Comfy

>the way nodes work is that each node is dedicated towards one data source
This is objectively false so your entire hypothetical is based off of a nothingburger

Just use a TEE bro

No u

It’s been about a yesr since I last read the white paper, and I’m not sure it really talks about that. But, from reading discussions re: the topic that’s how I currently understand how it works: Your node gets pointed at one data source and you and a few other nodes (whoever chooses to point there’s there) are responsible for that data.

Care to shed some light on how you understand it?

Btw, I’m not trying to FUD here. I’m trying to understand and perhaps crowd source some ideas we could share with CL if we come up with a decent idea.

What’s a TEE?

Read the whitepaper dumbfuck

>not realizing how bullish the town crier acquisition was

I read it a fucking year ago, calm down you mong. You could have just said “they’ve already addressed this, it’s called a TEE”.
Anyway, I’ll read it again. I just read the Wikipedia page about it, and I still don’t see how that adresses Sybil atacks. Do you actually understand this and care to enlighten me, or are you just rabidly defending your bags with whatever jargon you can come up with? Honestly, read pic related, how the fuck does that have anything to do with protecting against a Sybil attack?

Hahahaha, this is hilarous, I'm saving this thread. You are describing a CORE feature of what this collaboration I'm describing addresses. You ideally need a pool of decentralised data sources, not hand picked. You ALSO need a "credit score" as such, so that your friends can't just randomly decide to up and scam, you need to have a score above a certain threshold deemed suitable by the data requester to even be considered. But ALSO despite all of this it needs to be impossible or incredibly difficult to even have fake data - something this collaboration also addresses.

Interesting, so Jow Forums is smarter than I thought. I thought it was all poor people and larpers in 2019. When the collab is officially announced I'll link back to this thread and have rewards for you guys who were spot on.

top kek you're such a retard

>taking the bait
you're the pajeet here, brainlet

don't just use multiple API's to verify the same set of data? the more different api's verifying the same thing gives it more security right

it´s over guys, i´m literally losing my hard earn money with every second, this is dumbing hard

The answer to your shit is literally on binance’s link description
If your next argument is "well, reputation, staking and all that is not up, link is just another vaporware scam shitcoin"
The answer is we are still fucking early even at 1.70
It all makes sense since we heading to 1000, a few dollars is indeed early.
What button will you press?

Funny how suddenly nobody is replying anymore, right? The eternal stinker is unable to process real criticism.

Bro, I'm a brainless and would like to know. I"m a good dude that deserves to be rich. What project is it?

Nice coypasta schizo

He’s not fudding it, duder

>integration
kek, not an integration. You have to be literally mentally insane/retarded to read the blog post and conclude from reading it that it is a partnership or integration.

It is not. Anyone who reads the blog post and infers from it that it is has serious reading comprehension problems, probably even mental retardation.

not larping. checked and noted
i'm not critiquing really, I think its good that sergey recognises the shortcomings and is open to collaborating with a network which solves the problem
can't say user, sorry. it would be pointless anyway as much of what i'm saying is not even revealed yet (let alone the partnership). it will all come out at the same time.
depends how finely you want to split hairs. i agree with you partially, but I don't think its relevant in practice

Can you give us a timeline, user?

We've already discussed the tech to death since ICO two years ago, back when we had zero confirmed partnerships, newfag

HOLY SHIT I FIGURED IT OUT!

I usually rely on other anons because I’m a brainlet, but I actually did it. Thanks man. How long do I have to buy and how do I let you know that I have the answer without saying it so I get a reward? Don’t want too many rivals... stealing my rewards.

the announcement article is pretty finished, not sure around the content surrounding it though. maybe mid july
I kinda doubt it. what's the first letter?

everything is wrong with chainlink
there's almost 0 original code on that project. only a copy-paste json parser and some server instructions. mainnet was "released" and absolutely nothing happened precisely because they have no product other than an ETH price caller.

companies are not buying it, the few requests currently happening on the network are artificial and their info is not secure, nobody knows how to run a node (not that knowing would make any difference, demand is ZERO) so everyone is relying on companies that will offer that service, which defeats the entire purpose of the project! if private companies operate a significant percentage of the nodes then you might as well be using private oracles

this trainwreck would almost be a comedy if not for the upcoming suicides

R

Wait. so they are going to partner up with BSV? I knew it. Craig will solve this shit. His data provision is never false, he will prove it in court.

Could be but I don't want anything to do with broke-ass governments and banks

guys this doesnt sound like a fud it sounds legit.

no
honestly nobody will guess it unless they already have deep knowledge about the project. its ok, i will link this thread when the announcement comes around

You should make a trip for when you come back. If you’re not lying and what you say comes true scumbag anons will try and take credit.

good idea, here.

Attached: 1559638578583.png (1678x2171, 3.15M)

So mid july is when you believe the announcement will happen.

curious. you mentioned TEE as a hint. I was assuming Towncrier had something to do with this. but, clearly not. maybe Intel?

But what your alluding to is something that has to do with the Data Analytics within the oracle network no? A grading system for the type of data that is being pulled and pushed.

A platform in which SC creators and node operators can then look to grade and analyze the data?

I've been following this project pretty closely. I have no clue what partner would be able to handle this except for Google. Which they have already announced. Unless there is more to come with google.

Any clues?

Weeve?

>LINK IS REVOLUTIONARY BECAUSE IT LETS SMART CONTRACTS COMMUNICATE WITH OUTSIDE DATA
Isn't that what... the internet does? Hardly revolutionary.

LINK, I mean. It's just a shitty crypto scam imitation of the internet.

E

This guy is an idiot.

We've talked about LINK so much and you still haven't figured it out.

What is decentralization and its benefits? why do we need it. Why does smart-contracts need decentralized data?

I love reading you fags talk about shit it hypes me up

Ok, my guess is Oasis Labs, which is focused on using Trusted Execution Environments.

The founder Dawn Song, is part of IC3 and knows Ari Juels.

it's so obvious what you mean

Attached: 1559994837374.jpg (1200x870, 2.02M)

>Ok, my guess is Oasis Labs, which is focused on using Trusted Execution Environments.
Follow up, Oasis Labs is focused on the following type of problem: Lots of hospitals want to combine their data so that they can run analytics. But they are barred by regs from doing so. So, using TEE, they can combine the data, run the analytics, and then get the result while also being able to PROVE that they didn't share data with each other.

Trying to think this through but would it be possible to put data from different providers into TEE, let the TEE run the calculation, but no one knows who provided what data? Would that prevent collusion? Maybe also could randomly select which nodes get to submit the data?

Also, if I'm right, then the reason he is saying it would be "pointless" to tell us is that, atm Oasis has not released a token. So, maybe he's saying that mid july Oasis will announce (1) release of its token and (2) collaboration with Chainlink.

This is a damn fine guess

So what's the deal with the Accord thing? Removed Smartcontracts from their list of partners.

>Oasis has not released a token

Correction -- they have released a token, but only to accredited investors: "Following a private token pre-sale, the project has already raised around USD 45 million and is backed by big-name investors such as Andreessen Horowitz's new a16z crypto fund."
cryptonews.com/news/big-investors-show-trust-in-oasis-labs-by-injecting-usd-45m-2199.htm

Any swing LINKers here? I might buy back in once it drops another 5%.

If this dudes guess is the correct answer I’d be really happy. We’re gonna make it boys

Bump for Chainlink crumbs

Ok, don't really know how these tripcodes work so may be screwing this up.

But if you come back ITK user, and it turns out I was right, I will happily except either link or oasis token as reward ;)

(Trip code is just a random chemical element)

You did it right tripfren

I'm a 400lb autistic neet and I hold 100K link that I purchased with gibs. I will never sell link but then again the universe has never done anything good for me so it'll likely never hit $1000. This should be a strong sell signal to the rest of you not to get married to this coin.

RLC is making my dollars obsolete, i’m down 75% with this shitcoin, my dollars will be zero soon

it's wrong but a good guess nonetheless. you won't guess and it wouldn't be smart for me to give any further hints, but don't worry i'll have something for you and the other tripnon at the announcement

>it's wrong but a good guess nonetheless
Ok fair enough.

Thanks for sharing this info. Interesting to think through these problems of how this is all going to work. FWIW I don't think you are larper, but even if you are, still interesting thread.

Dope thread ITKanon.

It has to be RVT, they are all about TEE and are collaborating with LINK

Lmao is this asshole dropping breadcrumbs about town crier IN 2019
LOOK AT THIS DOOD

>TEE-coin is a cryptocurrency that enables people to review restaurants, shops, and so on. With our blockchain technology, the posted reviews will never be fraudulent.
>With our blockchain technology, the posted reviews will never be fraudulent.
Literally impossible. Any idiot could buy this "coin" and anonymously write a review on a blockchain. It will make Sybil attacks essier since shills can mass spam 1 star reviews of reliable nodes on the chain. Already thought Chainlinkers were dumb but... wow. This really just takes the cake.

Attached: 1535450169041.jpg (207x244, 7K)

CAN YOU READ CUNT?

TEE = Trusted Execution Environment

Can't remember if it's ekiden or ocean that would be relevant here

Its QWANT fag. Recognize this trip and reward me pls

>TEE-coin is a cryptocurrency that enables people to review restaurants, shops, and so on. With our blockchain technology, the posted reviews will never be fraudulent.

Dude, please. this is very weak.

We are talking about Trusted Execution Environments (aka "TEE") not tee-coin.com/

Wrong. Embarrassing.

Chainlinks decentralized oracles with TEE's, Threshold sigs, collateral/penalty contracts and when they add ZKP's will be absolute beasts
