The altcoin sentiment feels eerily similar to mid to late 2017

Then all of the sudden WHAM, a few alts lead the way and they started going 50, 100X out of nowhere

Big time. When BTC broke $10k early December 2017, it took around 2 weeks to top out at $19k. The important thing to note however is that only a few days after btc broke $10k, its dominance began dropping sharply as alts began to outperform BTC.
When BTC topped out around 17th December, alts continued exploding and their combined market cap didn't top out until Jan 7th.
So...the plan is:
>Watch BTC dominance, when it starts to dip pile into alts
>BTC price can top out and start dropping. This is fine if you're fully in alts
>Stay in alts until it looks like they're topping out, maybe 2 - 4 weeks after BTC tops out
>Once this looks like it's happening, transition back to BTC / ETH and sell half your stack back to fiat.
This is not 2017. I expect bitcoin to go hyperparabolic and as a result, altcoins will be destroyed utterly, -50%, which is reasonable considering how much they have run up since the bottom
