When creating a distributed computing system you want to have every node have all of the data of that distributed system that way you have a lot of redundancy. Craig was an employee of the real Satoshi. When Satoshi got jailed, Craig swiftly made a copy of Satoshi disks containing the original wallet. Then Craig tried started the endless drama "I'm Satoshi", yet never providing the ultimate proof (moving some BTC from the original Sasoshi wallet). Thing is, those disks were protected by TruCrypt (oh, the irony). Craig wasted a lot of money building up a massive datacenter that's still bruteforcing those disk images today - without luck. He even went as far as trying to buy very old wallets. Real Satoshi Nakamoto is still serving jail time.
