i just did the math for my trades over the past 18 months

if i only bought btc and held, i'd be 30% up
if i only bought eth and held, i'd be 5% up

instead i bet and lost 13 eth on etheroll. i also swing traded. some of my trades were ok, but others fucked me. i decided to switch from eth into alts in mid-april.

which is why i'm 45% down in fiat, 65% in sats and 30% in vitaliks.

Had 0.15 btc in Feb, i went all in shitcoins. Current portfolio value: $400, i'm retarded.

Current bag is worth about $90K.
I accumulated enough alts according to plan but I only put in about 15 % of what I wanted to put into ETH.

I'm left with a $80K fiat bag and did not expect this parabolic move.
I am OK but it still hurts that I didn't put in at least $30K more into ETH in February.

I'm not going to follow crypto markets anymore from now on... Not one chance I'm buying more now.

Been trading through the entire bear market accumulating btc. When btc broke the descending triangle at 6k I sold everything. Waited to rebuy at 3k. Expected btc to stay below 6k for at least 300days and a big capitulation candle that would bring us sub 3k for a very short time. Both didnt happen so I didnt buy. Didnt buy below 6k after the runup because surely there will be a pullback. Same at 8k 10k 12k. Been in tether ever since. Literally unable to cope with this.

Imo there is no point in being out of crypto for longer than three to six months, and only if you're swing trading at that. The deflationary nature of bitcoin and limited inflation of ether allows crypto to suck up more and more fiat. I can't tell you what the prices will be tomorrow, but I can tell you they'll be higher in three to five years than they are now. Once I understood this basic concept I started dollar averaging in with two hundred goose bucks on every paycheck (what I can spare).

I'm in the process of saving money to accumulate bitcoin. Now i'm stuck with only 0.1 while the price is rapidly rising. I missed my chance of pre 5k bitcoin so it's whatever, the wagecuck life is all there is for me now.

I bought almost bottom at 3700
TA fags make me believe that bitcoin will dump at 5800 so I sold at 5400. I only put like 600$ but still I could have around 2k now. Instead of that I have sold and trafed for some alts which Im only 14% up.

Yeah I'm running a small DCA since 7k support was rejected but it's far too little, too late.
I remember very distinctly telling myself, writing to myself that under no circumstance would I miss the train. I was just gonna do one last swing trade for another 15% before hodling forever.
But 6k was breached and I didn't buy even according to my own rules. 10k, 11k, and I didn't buy.

Ok good to know. It was an emotional buy because I attempted a limit order for market open at 14.99 today but it opened too high. I'd have made some quick cash if it had executed but my work schedule prevents me from trading at optimal times so I have to live with it. Just remember that GBTC can be super volatile, and on top of that you can't trade weekends or after hours. Watching real BTC price dump and waiting until Monday to see what happens is excruciating. For long term holds maybe it's alright. I'd planned originally to put a little of my 401k into GBTC by end of year myself, before this market went apeshit.
