this whole debacle is a nightmare. shamire shares. trustees that are now dead and the rest are literally "unreachable" who the fuck even knows where they are? also if too many of the shares get lost the trust will remain locked indefinitely due to the way the shamir crypto works. it's starting to sound like a really dumb way to protect a private key. way too many variables.
