Another dev here. What do you think will replace JSON? XML is too human unreadable, in many peoples opinions, to return to. I guess protobufs are the other current leader, but you need to keep all of your contract endpoints up to date with your clients constantly. It's not always fun to manage, unless you're a biggyfirm. If you're a small startup without a large team to give an SDK out to customers.
