The average boomer who started working in 1980 had:

* SP500 that went from 900 to 29000 today (30x money)
* Interest rates in 1980 of 15% -- meaning just putting your fucking money in a 'savings account' was earning 6.5%
* Because of high interest rates in 80's, home prices were very very low for those starting out. You could get starter home for $25K
* Because interest rates fell to 0%, home prices exploded so that $25K starter home is $200K today
* America wasnt yet hollowed out, so you could get a random job in 1980 that included pension / 401k
* So taken together this meant an average dumb fuck could literally not lose money on anything...typical dumb boomer was having his company match 1:1 his 401K savings which then earned him 30x...his house earned him 10x....his bank account was earning money 6%
