Been seeing a lot of the V-ID company and something seriously caught my eye, the memes claiming to "verify with your eyes." I don't think any of you Anons really understand how deep that fucking meme goes for the real world. I don't think you have any fucking idea how big of a problem these VIDT guys are saying they're solving here.
Googled some words for a current review of identity and document fraud. The first result that came up, "The 2018 Global Fraud and Identity Report" by Experian, a major credit reporting company. It's only a 16 page report with a lot of graphics and shit, so you could really just read it yourself (maybe 1 page of actual 12 pnt TNR text). Smart contracts are valuable because they are both automated and immutable. Without secure inputs and outputs they are worthless. The value of a link is based off of the security of the node network and it’s ability to provide secure inputs and outputs to smart contracts on the blockchain. The blockchain is secure, but real world data is not. Link solves this problem through PoS and TEE, and at the same time they are working to improve scalability through threshold signatures.
