BTC fees are getting too high to use it, and people are looking for something exciting that will pump on this frothy market atmosphere. BAT is still risky but it's a much better bet.
Look at it this way, if it does happen to go down temporarily, however much you lose, I will be losing 10 times more.

Bitcoin is highly likely to become the global reserve currency within 10 more years. Bat is at best an interesting curiosity but you'd be a fool to not place your bet on bitcoin long term
