It's the Second White Flight. It's all industries are booming and nearly every southern city has seen an influx of tech jobs. I live in Charleston and the growth has been INSANE. Them again.... I moved here.

I'm originally from the Greenville, SC area. Spartanburg, SC is home to the world's largest BMW manufacturing plant. Factories and R&D facilities are being built due to low tax and regulatory overhead. Real estate is booming as people move in to "make less" for keeping more - and naturally the services economy follows right in behind: insurance, financial services, law, medicine.

Phoenix just passed Philadelphia in population. The Northeast is toast, its finished. I know a few northeast transplants myself.

South is being pumped. How long before it gets dumped and turns to shit like the rest

There is massive demand for Java full-stack developers on the software development side, and Javascript framework (Spring, Vue, AngularJS) for web developers (throw some PHP or .NET in there for good measure). Python is also a surefire bet as it is easy to learn and has incredibly powerful data science and machine learning libraries. No wonder businesses are increasingly using Python to "glue together" their existing frameworks with ML automation.

Like someone else said in the thread, people are fleeing oppressive states like California, NY, NJ...they are basically traitor states at this point. High taxes, they import nig nogs and other illegals at fucking record paces. I was up in NYC and the city is impressive, yes, but its dirty and full of nonwhites and people look poor and miserable.

Out here in the south, theres strong White enclaves...yes we have our fair share of niggers but at least they are segregated. We have strong White communities here, and its real business friendly and cheap.

Cost of living and production is low compared to the north/west, so people and businesses get to keep more of their revenue as profit vs north/west. The drive in population/business growth creates investment opportunity for businesses to build infrastructure. Real estate is exploding, because population growth is exploding.

Yeah Denver boomed and now Boulder is on the up and up. Utah is also booming and the boom will go to Boise as well. I wouldn't be surprised if Montana gets hit in the future with a smaller boom. But not everyone can take the cold.

Huntsville user here. Because of Redstone Arsenal we have A TON of high paying federal and contract jobs, very low taxes and low cost of living. Super comfy.

Asheville (WNC) checking in. I live in a small town south of Asheville and can confirm. I've lived here for 20 years and Asheville/small town cities around have expediently grew, mostly a pocket of tourists to come in the summer and fall, but up until roughly 2 years ago, there is so much money/people moving in. Breweries, CBD stores and head shops, construction companies; the list goes on. The bright side is there are multiple new businesses popping up practically each month. Down side, I've seen at least 4 new housing developments in a 15 mile radius of where i live. There's still a lot of work to be done for infrastructure (internet and roads) and time for the this new community to rise while old communities fade, but if you can deal with the traffic, those old people who moved in to die in the blue ridge mountains and those old people who lived on dirt roads, I would say here will become a Nashville in the sky.
