UBI is literally the only fucking reason he's relevant.
Austin Edwards
cool but yang won't win fellas But yeah someday in the future some government will try out blockchain for voting
Andrew Jones
In the context of US demographics UBI is based and redpilled as it will give back money to the working class, aka whites.
Brody Baker
B-but muh socialism! Muh handouts are bad!
God I fucking hate conservatives
Samuel Carter
so we could just double or triple the deficit and nothing bad will happen? (asking unironically)
Brandon Robinson
If you reward doing nothing and punish making things then the amount of things made goes up and the amount of nothing done goes down, okay retard
Matthew Wright
Money supply was already doubled during the recession to bail out the banks etc and the dollar’s value was not cut in half. Lolbert monetary theory is wrong. Try reading about MMT (modern monetary theory)
The perverse incentives of the current welfare system reward doing nothing. UBI nullifies the welfare trap. You'll still enable a bunch of neets, but you'll also see growth in entrepreneurship, small businesses, main street businesses, non-profits etc., major reduction in crime, improved graduation rates, less substance abuse, and many other observed effects.
HES BETTING >25% ON ECONOMIC GROWTH, THE BALLS ON THIS GUY AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA WHO’S BUYING THIS SHIT?
Self driving cars can’t even tell the difference between a person and backgroudn noise, where’s his “loss of jobs to automation”??? More like loss of jobs to illegals
William Parker
>if you ignore UBI (which we can because it will never get through congress)
He's not going to go blindly and balls deep into an immediate nationwide $12k yearly dividend. He's initially going to run a number of major trials across different local/state/regional areas.
> where’s his “loss of jobs to automation”? 85% of manufacturing jobs lost were lost to automation, not trade. Retail, fast food, driving jobs are next. Main street business already drying up because of Amazon who increasingly automate their supply chain: youtube.com/watch?v=4sEVX4mPuto
Do yourself a favor and watch a couple of Yang's long form interviews. There's one with Shapiro if you want to hear him counter the hack-libertarian grievances.
Fun fact: In 1982, Alaska began providing a partial basic income annually to all its residents (Alaska Permanent Fund provides a dividend of $1-2k yearly to every Alaskan). Before the dividend, Alaska had a higher rate of inflation than most other US states. Since the dividend was introduced, Alaska has the LOWEST rate of inflation of all US states.
Bonus fun fact: In Kuwait in 2011 every citizen was given $4,000. Fears of increasing inflation were rampant, as Kuwait already had high inflation. Instead of bad inflation getting worse, it actually got better, decreasing from record highs to under 4 percent.

Driving will never happen, never ever in forever. The tech will never get there. You don’t understand what it is to drive a car because you do so many things subconciously that you automatically outperform a robot on multiple scales. Think about driving through narrow streets up a mountain, where you can’t see the car ahead of you, think about all of the crowded streets where a cab driver has to pick up a person, the randos trying to get into the wrong car, the chaos of not having a decent place to park. People are spoiled, they dont want to walk to a central SelfDriving Uber hub, which might be a quarter-mile from their location, might just be down the street they arent about to deal with that they want to be picked up there and then. One guy watching 30 uber cars to make sure no one pukes or has sex or smokes, that guy is not going to catch everything and people are going to get turned off. More guys watching screens= more expensive rides that are still crappier than regular rides, all pool rides. Maintaining a fleet of cars instead of having your current modern day slave labor force maintain them for you gratis. Why bother.
Retail = aint happening without much cheaper/free delivery which requires driving. Fast food, again, aint happening for the same reasons also robots cant cook efficently and probably will never be able to do so, ordering is a big whatever, you still need a janitor. Many people dont have access to internet and dont have places where they can get stuff delivered to them. Only one that is tangibly correct currently is manufacturing.
many main-street businesses still rely on face-to-face human interaction, flower shops, specialty goods shops, car mechanics, ice cream places, etc etc. Automation is a long ways away from doing all of this effectively
We’re closer to developing viable fusion reactors than a single self-driving Uber system that could even one day hope to be profitable. That truly would make UBI worth it.
Jayden Young
If you truly believe UBI will work your brain is so minute, that if a hungry cannibal cracked your head open, there wouldn’t be enough to cover a small water biscuit.
Noah Jackson
>BUT TELL ME WHY THIS WILL OR WONT INVOLVE CHAINLINK. It won't, both sides are too heavily invested in cheating within the existing system to agree to it
Juan Bailey
>I turn down free money because Fox News told me it was SOCIALISM or some dumb shit like that
Xavier Edwards
LOL holy shit are you narrow minded. Serious lack of lateral thinking, or maybe just a profound ignorance of recent developments in technology.
>Think about driving through narrow streets up a mountain, where you can’t see the car ahead of you
We're talking about truck driving mostly on highways, or cabs driving through main city streets. This is 5-10 years away, and that's if (for example), elon musk is wrong by a factor of 10.
>main-street businesses See above + UBI will go along way to helping these small business survive and grow.
>manufacturing. 4 million jobs lost to automation.
Logan Cox
>hmm everyone has a thousand dollars extra in their pockets every month, the average us salary before this was 4.7k a month, if I charge $6 instead of $5 for Two McDoubles, i bet no one will complain.
Austin Russell
>t. retards that don't want an extra 12k a year to invest into shitcoins kys faggots YANGGANG
Zachary Collins
The money supply tripled in the last 3 years and you didn’t even notice, you are a fucking pleb, an utter buffoon, a narrow minded monkey regurgitating high school level “econ facts”

Post the "Making Taxes Fun" idea.

Im talking about cabs in main city streets here my guy. Where do people take cabs to? Clubs. What places have zero parking on the street? Clubs. How do cab drivers deal with this? Find parking else where and call the person. How do self driving cars deal with this? Maybe find parking close by maybe they just pick the first viable spot in their programmed “maximum acceptable distance” which could be set to something most people wont accept. The people coming from the club, visibly upset that they had to walk to their car, sit right on a cum stain left by the other passenger and step into a pile of puke. The ride starts, and now they have to cancel because they cant stand the smell. The car finds an acceptable drop off location, but it cant find anywhere to park because this is (insert American metropolitan area here) and theres no parking. So it takes the long way back to its original destination, and in the process runs over a drunk college kid in a dark colored shirt that it thought was pavement, and continues until it reaches its previous spot, only to find that its already been taken, and trys to find another spot. The passengers are pulling on the doors trying to get out, only to be told by the cars onboard AI voice “the doors are locked for your safety while the ride is in motion” they’ve pushed the emergency button multiple times already to be greeted by an automated voice telling them that “a remote operator will be with them shortly, please stand by as the call line is currently busy” and then the car is rammed by a cop car because someone called 911 because they saw a hit and run and the pax die, covered in cum and vomit in a car covered in blood and shit.
