Simple scripts, and linux network namespaces, you dont even need containers, made that mistake early on, containers just make things complicated than they need to be Put your nknd processes in their own namespaced network Make a wireguard vpn if you have nodes on different computers

Bandwidth on raspberry pi not even 15% utilized when running 1 node. Get a 250mbit connection with 4ms latency lol Wireguard ads basically no latency, compared to openvpn shit lol When adding 500 nodes actually increases bandwidth usage to 90%

End to end encryption, and high volume of nodes means no real chance to take down the network once it's running at full beans. It'll have pretty good security for it's speed.
