Yes, how else are you supposed to keep the bigots out.

>we have to think about our hard working and dedicated employees
>pay them a living wage? lol nah
fuck america

>we have to think about our hard working and dedicated emplyees
not enough to pay them a decent pay apparently
jesus you burgers

Pay your people don't expect me to

MURRRRICAA
FUCK YEAH

I work as a delivery driver in a very economically diverse area. The only people who don't tip are literal niggers in the ghetto. Even Jews are good tippers.

Only because we don't want you spitting in our food the next time.

Mostly this, although I think most restaurants would struggle to find good enough staff / staff where turnover was low enough that this would pay off. You'd probably see a lot of restaurants fold if they all started doing this and a lot more chain restaurants taking over. If you like living in a place with diversity and "mom & pop" restaurants, given that they're mostly shitty business people the only way they can survive is by paying low wages to employees.

mayo boy in OP pic, nice try tho

You think this place bans black people doe? Every server Ive heard from says they usually tip very little or not at all.

He looks like a fat autistic neckbeard redditor. Never encountered any of these faggots in my days delivering.

>you have to be 18 to post here
Paying a "living wage" will just end up costing the customer anyways, the menu prices will increase. Restaurant margins are 3%. How can you be this retarded?

Attached: IMG_0033.jpg (638x558, 64K)

I never tip, but I live in New York and never eat in the same restaurant twice

It’s true. I was a server for 5 years and even black servers don’t want black customers

what do you do to deserve a tip? if your answer is just "my job" you don't deserve a tip nor a job.

imagine the employer would have to pay a decent salary ... hahahaha oh wow

Jesus Christ, burgers.

I dont need a mom and pop bullshit restaurant. Robo arm restauramts when? Fuck these scammers let them rot on the street

>pffffft

If you are
1) White
2) Male
3) American

I don't tip you. Simple as that. Foreigners and poc I tip.

Tipping should only be for the servers that go above and beyond. The ones who make you comfortable and are attentive. Most servers are lazy and entitled, i never tip if the server makes me ask for water or makes me wait during non busy times.

there are 5 restaurants on every block in my city, and they all serve the same trash. its almost like they shouldnt exist?

If this guy lives in the US in pretty much any state other than CA, he’s a cunt. Just fucking tip... it’s part of the price of eating out

You are retarded if you don't understand that tipping culture and tipping as a substitute for wages is cancer.

I use my gas and my car to deliver food into fucked up neighborhoods that I wouldn't set food in otherwise, so that niggers have the convenience of having food delivered straight to their door without them risking going outside and getting shot.

If you are
1) White
2) Male
3) American

I don't tip you. Simple as that. Foreigners and poc I tip.

This, it was at once seen as a bonus for above and beyond actions. Now its expected and you are outwardly attacked for not tipping. Imagine if this racket existed elsewhere like in the trades or automotive industry

Why doesn't the restaurant pay a wage to the server so they dont have to rely on tips, makes you think huh

Sure it is, and if you are really opposed to it then you can protest by not eating out or ordering in. Stiffing the service workers doesn't help anyone.

Then their business is shit and it dies.

Seems to work literally everywhere else in the world

Went to Japan this winter and they refused my tips over and over again until I gave up, even on a couple $500+ dinners.

> Doesn’t understand free market incentives.

People who provide better service earn more. It rewards high performers and low performers get BTFO.

Or we can all settle for equally bad service everywhere when incentives are removed.

If the service is shit people will stop going retard

>Stiffing the service workers doesn't help anyone.
It forces your employer to make up wages not earned by tipping.

>the menu prices will increase
so what? It's a free market. It supposed to cost what it's supposed to cost. It's not my job to worry about the wages of the employees. I didn't hire them. It's your job as a business to tell me how much your food + services cost and it's up to my decision if I want to become your customer.

>Restaurant margins are 3%
so what? In the real world, when a business is SHIT, people stop doing it. It's not like fucking restaurants are essential to our society and we have to socialize their operations cost.

so your job. nice. I too use my car to travel through bad neighborhoods to my job. where's my tip?

In restaurants in the U.S. serving staff are treated like independent contractors; the cooks and other staff make a higher wage but the serving staff in particular make less because gratuity is a customary thing. Their final wages are often performance based-and sometimes suprisingly high-as consequence.

In the US less than 4% of workers earn the federal minimum wage or below, but close to 100% of those workers are in gratuity-earning positions and are likely taking home more than many of those earning the "living wage" meme do.

The custom of gratuity improves service, lowers overhead and prices, and gives workers who'd otherwise be on the bottom rung of the economic ladder several hundred dollars in untaxed (depending on establishment) income a week.

Of the employees don’t have incentive to perform, service will be shit.

It’s the reason why governmen services are shot. Employees have no incentive. Government company doesn’t either because they tax you.

People are more likely to tip more if the day is sunny rather than rainy, it's a shit incentive.

Do you 'mericans tip in mcdonalds and other fast food franchises? Whatever the answer, why and what's different with a regular restaurant?

You can avoid tipping, but if you paid by credit card or order online you are getting upcharged for a delivery fee.

Never worked in a restaurant.

I was making $18 an hour as a server. Your $15 minimum wage shit would be a downgrade you fuck ass, plus I avoid paying a lot in taxes since I walk with the cash I make. Suck a cock eurotrash and or berntard.

This is the epitome of a slide thread. For some reason this alway attracts the most low brow IQ retards bumping it to unimaginable heights because its easy to cry about from either side. So who's Israel bombing today? or NVIXM?

Fast food staff aren't allowed to take tips. I tried multiple times and they always refused saying they would get in trouble.

Imagine giving a fuck who Israel is bombing. As long as it’s brown people, fuck it, bomb away Jews

Customer service. What if the restaurant was served by robots. Would it still be the same exprience?

Tax payers dont pay for the sevice industry. They are all privately run entities. How can you be this foolish. If my servers act like shit ill fire them, if i cant find any good servers i would close up shop and find somewhere else to invest my money

you are right. I now realize I got baited to post in this thread. Usually I'm smarter when it comes to spotting this shit. Gonna sage this reply.
Also ARK is mooning. The slide thread is here for you not to notice this. 30$ EOY

In the state of California, it’s illegal to ask guests if they want water. They have to ask the servers

>america

Jesus

>ummm....like pay my worker’s wages for me, goyim.

Fucking burgers and their retarded tip culture

No because we tip for service. Takeout pick up orders and fast food most people do not tip or tip a much smaller amount.

Real example from today: I am a regular at a pizza place for lunch, I usually just get 1 slice.m (they are big). They didn’t have the “everything” pizza I usually get but the owner said “I don’t have that right now but I can put some veggies on the meat lovers for you and heat it up.”
He made me a customer slice so I left him a $2 tip on a $5 slice, normally I don’t tip because it’s just over the counter pick up orders.

See how this incentive works. Businesses and employees that go extra mile of service can rake in surprising good wages from tips. The only ones who complain about tip culture is lazy service providers who are bad. They should find a new line of work.

Only if the robots are able to spit.

Probably better

Yeah. The dipshit knows the employees get paid less than minimum wage and then played dumb. For a business to operate smoothly, both customers and workers must be happy. He’s the odd-one out here and could have easily fixed the situation by tipping next time he cane in.

>menu prices will increase
What does it matter if I'm adding 20% or more for a tip anyway.
Also this.

Lol no for sit down restaurants like in the OP you too for economic reasons. 15% is like the baseline for average service but you still leave it because the worker relies on it.

Personally, I can't wait for robots to take over food service. Especially fast food. Cheap grub I used to enjoy is now impossible to eat because of the people working in fast food.

It used to be that you'd get high school and college students working in fast food. Now it's all a bunch of dropout drug addicts, some of them 40+ years old, all covered in tattoos, all smelling like shit, and it takes five fucking years just to order and receive a damn taco. And 99% of the time, the order is wrong, and looks like it was thrown against the wall several times before being served to you.

Nobody likes going out to eat anymore at fast food places. And the people in those jobs don't even want those jobs, and resent the customers. Everyone would be happier if they just replaced the workers with robots.

Stingy notip nigger detected. Us wagies always remember your kind.

You're paying their wages for them either way, Eurokike. Whether you're paying $5 voluntarily because they did a good job or $10 more for the same meal by fiat for whatever tasteless gruel you people eat

Not tipping makes you a nigger, but banning someone for not doing a voluntary thing makes you a leftist government nigger.

Attached: 1560656708968.jpg (632x654, 80K)

People like me who don't tip would have to pay more. Just feel "bad" for them. While I take my savings and get more Link.
I typically only get fast food or casual take out. I avoid sitdown places that drool over tips.

Restaurants run on cheap labour.
This applies to every single restaurant without exception.

I want so badly for the US to get on with it an raise the prices of commodities and services to accurately reflect their costs and stop this ambiguous dance of tipping; I don’t mind that I’m helping to pay those costs I just want it to be transparent. The current system tends only really fuck me over
>some thots make cash tips hand over fist from thirsty working prof bros
>I can’t I’m a chubby awkward dude
>some people don’t tip at all
>I can’t because I’m to anxious and non-confrontational that I tip 20% as a default and even more When the service is good.
Tips just drive this bullshit entitlement culture and hardly ever does it promote entrepreneurial growth or work ethic.

Hey, dipshit, it's not my job to decide your employees wages now is it.

>He made me a customer slice so I left him a $2 tip on a $5 slice
What a fucking cuck

I've been to a Japanese restaurant here in the US that doesn't allow tipping. The prices are basically higher as if you are paying tip anyways.

>i dont pay my staff a living wage
>i was very upset that you didnt pick up my slack and help them make rent

Lol no it isn't, or it would actually be in the bill you dumbfuck

>Imagine being a returning paying customer and getting banned for not personally paying their employees' salaries
mutt logic for a mutt people

Attached: 1560563171375.jpg (3000x3000, 782K)

It absolutely does wonders for kids in school doing waiter and waitress jobs. You sometimes get stiffed, but sometimes you get an old white couple that tips you $50 on a $20 meal because you were a great server and gave them company.

>Not tipping makes you a nigger
Pay my workers wages for me goyim
Imagine defending a business owner paying their workers less than the federally mandated wage and telling other people they should pick up the tab.

If you don't like tipping move to a country that doesn't allow tips like China or Japan. Until then keep tipping cause its the culture and expected.

Why do americans do this? Tipping is a replacement for a good sallary.

>urr durr it will have consequences in the price
Faggot, you are literally paying the price already with the tip, at least make it legal. When yurops tip, at least it's a bonus payment, not a part of my expected sallary. Pathetic

>China or Japan
Nigger you need to buy a plane ticket and travel somewhere outside of your country, literally no where but muttland is tipping required.

I don't know, it's stupid. I avoid going out to eat anyways, because the food is usually mediocre and the service is shit, unless you're going to some 5-star restaurant in LA where a glass of water is $400 or whatever.

Asian way is much better tho.

This is stupid nonsense for retards that I've heard from dozens of food slaves.
You are federally guarunteed minimum wage no matter what. If you didn't earn at least min wage with the tips, your employer is legally required to cover the difference

Goddammit I misread the post and now I'm the retard.

another illiterate retard thread

yikes
looks like Reddit really did invade

Not tipping is nigger tier.
It's not an ideal system but waitstaff work hard for their money. How poorfag do you have to be to sweat $5-10 every time you go out? Would you rather sit down the owner and convince them to them a reasonable wage or pay them for the service they rendered to you?

Attached: 1550323475616.jpg (382x344, 32K)

I have never tipped in my entire life

I don't give a fuck about restaurants. I've been to hundreds. What's needed is automation. Speedier service and cooked the same every time.

Not gonna disagree with you on that. Tipping system sucks, but at this point its so baked in its nearly impossible to change.

Cute girls do the best.

My wife worked at an ice cream stand in high school and firefighters would come by sometimes and tip like $20 for $5 ice cream.

Europeans and ugly girls will never understand. Tip culture is superior where superior service or superior genes gets rewarded. Totalitarian commies hate this. The lesser able or ugly and weak tend towards totalitarian communism and price regulations, chads and Stacie’s are free market.

These preferences reveal that ultimately everyone is doing what serves them best and being selfish.
Free market capitalism allows an economy to flourish by harnessing tisnselfishness for good and liberated people make decisions freely. Totalitarian socialist commies are simply jealous of more successful people and want to bring everyone down to their level.

Europeans haven’t escaped the serf mindset and need their Kings and queens and socialist governments to provide for them. Americans were bred from independent hard workers who were tired of king and Queen bullshit and can make it on their own.

I don't mind tipping because 20% of my bill is worth submitting my order to the kitchen, bringing it to my table, refilling my water, and cleaning up after I leave.
If you're such a fucking tightwad poorfag you can't tip for good service you should probably stick to mayo sandwiches and diet pepsi from the fridge at your mom's house.

__ _________ ______ __ ____?

>they work hard
No they don't and you've obviously never had a real job.

Superior service does not get rewarded in the same way superior genetics do. Are you aware just how thirsty incels can be. That camwhore is selling her literal bath water

based

>Service will be shit

How do you define good service right now? Because what I usually get is some thot with an attitude who's not warm at all

How cucked are you phags to pay out hundreds of dollars to thots because of social pressure?

Think about the bigger picture - thots get BTFO'd and normal people become servers

Normal people who work WAY fucking harder, who are WAY fucking cooler to talk to, who are WAY more THANKFUL for your tips

Instead, you choose to support the system that cucks the shit out of you to support Stacy's trip to Dominican so you can creep her Instagram

Fuck you guys.

I waaaaaant toooooo fuck dabunny?

>we have to think about our hard working and dedicated employees
so why don't they pay them more so they don't have to grovel and beg like dogs for tips?

Attached: 1526332457895.jpg (1020x511, 51K)

wow look at all the kike states, so weird

When did Jow Forums become so infested with niggers and reddit fags that everyone shits on service industry employment?
You can't afford 15% of your total to pay the servant that waited on you for your lunch hour? This treatment used to be reserved for royalty and lordship.
I don't want to see a bunch of greasy fatasses too cheap to tip retrieving their food from the kitchen while I'm having dinner with my lady. That's what I'm paying for.
>job jerking
You sound bitter as fuck. Poverty isn't a virtue, you gas huffing retard.
I waited tables when I was a teen. I quit waiting tables to push carts. I traded pushing carts for moving boxes.
It's five years later and my tenth floor office has a view of the park downtown and the parking lot where I used to push carts. I don't need to sweat tips.
Literally unironically stop being poor. It's fucking obnoxious. Stay home and have lunch, you fucking child.

Attached: image_5.jpg (340x344, 39K)

>nog thinks he's changing the world with his $3 tips

>performs a get function
are my link nodes going to have to tip the API's?

waiting is stressful but is overpaid.
