it took me 1.5 years, but I finally fucking get it.
In the future, Chainlink will be composed of millions of nodes, true decentralization, each node providing honest data no matter if their net worth is $5k or $5T. Those nodes are incentivized to be honest, they are penalized for false data. If there are millions of independent nodes that have an economic interest in providing honest data, and they are penalized by providing false data, then the data must be honest, and the system is trustless.
A network designed explicitly to provide 99.9999% accurate data; that can be worth more than the entire marketcap of crypto. I finally understand why you autistic faggots went all in. I just wish I realized it sooner.
It's okay user, you're still incredibly early. Only a few people outside Jow Forums are coming to this conclusion, even after the recent announcements. Accumulate while you can, clock's ticking though.
I have a bag, but if I had but 2 and 2 together I would've went all in. Spent too much time trying to flip shitcoins.
Blake Young
you just philosophized the link theory. now you should be realizing how fucked you are because its not sirgay doesnt have a chance in hell to carry this out
Nathan Taylor
I am fucking late, so I actually had to drop a shit ton of money in to get just a 10k stack. I posted a thread about it yesterday.
but he's brainstormed the network, and large companies are buying in. If Oracle is creating 20 node operators, it's only a matter of time before the market understands the need for more
David Lee
You've been in this board for 1.5 years and finally realized the potential? jesus christ are you a nigger or something tf
We all regret not buying earlier. I regretfully had to pick up most at a dollar after finally bothering to do my own research on it. I don't sweat it though, since we're already far luckier than most.
Parker Anderson
I have none, trying to ride other pumps to be ready for my Link virginity
never did proper research. bought in for the partnerships and memes
Matthew Martin
I bought that shit with weed money for a few hundred in 2017 lol
Brayden Martinez
Ok and what sources is this trustless decentralized collection of nodes collectively drawing from? Dont we somewhere have to assume trust?
Owen Ross
So you just jacked off with other shitcoins and never bothered to know/research why the autists in here shilled link for 2 years? Unironically don't have sex you mouthbreather
Jesus Christ, you guys sound more and more like reddit all the time.
Aiden Turner
didn't even think about any of this until I was defending LINK from some faggot calling it a json parser. then I thought about it for a couple days, and realized I'm a fuck up.
Jose Morales
do FUD fags have any hobbies besides FUDing (not to OP but the retards his thread attracted)
Exactly. The idea itself makes total sense, this should be obvious to anyone. The tell question is whether or not they can pull this off. I don't have a ton of faith in the team, and the fact that Sergey is already a billionaire and getting fatter and lazier by the day is worrisome. Does the chainlink team actually have the technical talent to deliver?
Blake Taylor
dont forget to steer trade in the sevilla node to the genoa node and set your trading port to genoa to get rid of the debuff for not collecting in your home node!
Asher Lewis
I’m long Link tokens but I still don’t think their value can be estimated yet. How the growth and token and blockchain and smart contract economy evolves can’t be 100% predicted. For all we know, everyone could be using Links but they still stabilize at a low price.
The most promising news to me is working with new oracles. They are the foundational infrastructure for this to work.
Jason Moore
It’s a damn shame you had to realize this at the point of already being priced out.
Oh well. There’s always waiting another 4 years for the next market cycle.
Luke Lopez
It's a literal premine token on top of ETH for christ sake. Its literally going to zero within a few years.
so they currently have 0 users and are worth $4 Bil, and I'm supposed to believe they will just magically get millions of users? (The first 1 million users are already priced in btw, because of the current $4bil valuation)
Jacob Clark
considering it took them 2 years to pull off centralized, trivial oracles, and they had 32mil funding to do so, I would say that the chance they pull it off is 0. They are basically incompetent.
Eli Diaz
Well, bitcoins at one time had few users and few miners. Every company starts small.
Jordan Sanchez
Anyone who believes this and puts their money in deserves to lose it all
Jason Edwards
what happens when they run out of tokens to give to the node operators
Carson Bell
dude welcome to chainlink
Cooper Price
kek, how low is your IQ? do you know what the market cap of bitcoin was when it had 10 users? Probably around 10 bucks. Do you know the market cap of chainlink? $4Bil
Kys, with your IQ you're not gonna do anything with your life any way.
Thomas Edwards
Spoken like a poor redditor
Nolan Phillips
i have a little over a suicide stack. but no more. i thought i understood the fundamentals but i never thought about the endgame.
Jackson Hill
What valuation model are you using to determine that the coins are overvalued? What future growth are you assuming? Do you recognize the limits of your own intelligence? I dont claim to know how it should be valued, so I recognize the risk it could be pennies eventually, but I recognize it could be high of adopted. You however seem to have already applied a model to determine that it is over valued. Can you share this model? What growth assumptions did you use?
Connor Perry
Question for all you retard neets with 50k link stacks talking about how the network is going to grow so much... How many of you idiots are actually running a node right now? You realize the very future of the network depends on you and I guarantee like 5% of you have even visited the github to figure out how to start a node
Jeremiah Cox
You don’t have to be a jeweler to own gold, are you retarded?
But I do agree with you on one point. If one has the resources and believes in chainlink, they should try to setup a mode to help the project succeed.
And a mode can be run on a raspberry pi and with zero link.
Gabriel Smith
You'd think that, then you realise collateral.
Connor Thompson
To explain, do you think someone running on chainlink will initially request less than 100% collateral? In a volatile asset?
I think long term the collateral required could eventually get down toward 105%. But initially the collateral requirement is more likely to be 150-200% depending on the duration.
Kayden Thomas
Dude the jewelry analogy is bad. For chainlink to succeed it needs the support of its early adopters to grow the network. This is exactly how bitcoin got bigger. Instead everyone just holds the coin and waits to cash out. Its telling that the only data link can serve right now is the price of ether. There are so many projects that really adopters should be doing but they're all just right here shitposting. I think a really easy example would be a sports betting smart contract. Link should be able to easily serve valid data of final scores so that the contract can pay out the winners. But nope, lets just make another meme of fat Sergey and make no real contribution in order to get the network healthier in a real way
Matthew Myers
RIP
Nathaniel Campbell
Haha, should be fucking obvious but people are total idiots out there.
Noah Turner
Look at this chink shilling
Kayden Stewart
This isn't obvious, it's just that Jow Forums was full of super autists doing indepth research on chainlink for literally 2 years.
Most normies won't buy chainlink until it's literally 50$ +
And those normies will sell criminally early and will hang themselves for missing the chance to escape wage slavery.
