You're actually the dumb one. The reason people measure in sats is because it shows you how your coin is doing relative to bitcoin--- it correts for btc volatility. Let's say you take some plebbit shitcoin lik REQ... those guys are stoked when it goes up a few cents, but in reality all that's happenig is that bitcoin is going, and REQ is losing sats , yet the USD price is still increasing. Measuring in sats give you a true picture of what's going on. Plus btc is still the highest volume pair and the best for charting.
