Don't trade in margin unless you absolutely know what you are doing. Or use it and gamble.

yeah it's pretty much a gamble at this point, but sometimes the market is SO predictable that I wonder why I don't trade on margin

When you know, you will KNOW.

what do you mean?

so you should just wait for those times brainlet

When you have a skill, you just know how to do it.

looking for making this a daily thing that's why

If you’re controlled with this and dong go wild on leverage, you can easily make money. Bitmex expensive uses a maker taker model so if all your trades are limit orders you can minimise fees. Another user did a good write up on how he made money margin trading om bitmex a while, Ill look for it on my other computer and I’ll post it if I find it

please do good sir

This. I managed to double my stack three times over the past 2 years. When someone asks me to help them trade or give them "some tips" I don't know what the fuck to say. I just kind of have a lot of ideas going on and know what to do. Knowing that there's always a chance I could be dead wrong about any trade or lose a lot of money is part of the territory, but you can't really convey that without scaring people away.

can I just follow your trades ? lol

did you find anything yet, user ?

Use low leverage and low position sizes (as a % of your bankroll) when you dont know what will happen

The amount of leverage you use should correlate with the certainty of your call and precision of your entry.

>implying you cant adjust leverage in the middle of the trade according to how the trade is going.
jee lads

>thinking that changes your risk of losing
All you're doing by doing that is increasing the risk of losing your unrealized profits.

You're all idiots and will lose your money
Screencap this lol, you're fukcing retards, you're competing with experienced traders and manipulation from bitmex. you are delusional

>thinking nobody here is an experienced trader
Nice projection

I guess going 5x long after a dip in a bull market is a good game plan. right anons?

you have 20 years trading experience? dumb cunt, enjoy liquidation

Keep projecting

explain why

>i must trade all the time even if i know i lose
well i suppose somebody has to feed the winners

i don't even know how :<
how is it didded?

Yeah I got liquidated today. Only 10x leverage too. Really thought I was safe. Then that massive sudden dump from 11, 600 to 10,900 got me

Generally speaking yes, depending on whether TA suggests the dip will continue. With 5x you've got like a couple thousand dollars worth of wiggle room as far as liquidation is concerned

that sucks man...
a trader on youtube called "The Oracle" suggests to put a buy order (or sell order if youre shorting) near the liquidation price to push away the liquidation and basically give you a second chance

>10x lev
>got liq

eh, we just found a 12k breakout longer who didnt put a stop loss. thanks for the much needed fuel to go lower. F

Yeah it’s ok. I might try that next time. It was just 500 dollars I threw into primexbt to try margin for the first time. Needless to say, it might not be for me

why didnt you just use a stop loss???
how can you margin trade without stop?

only pussies do stop loss. own your calls.

having fingers crossed > stop loss

The old thread was closed, and my download folder was full of frog pictures, but I found it on the archives:

It's not a magic pill, but so far I have found it quite a simple and effective strategy of using heiken ashi candles on 5/15min charts for momentum based strategies. As I mentioned above, you can minimise bitmex fees by using only limit orders.

Bear in mind in the ‘real’ world all margin trading websites have to use this disclaimer:

Spread bets and CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 74% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading spread bets and CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how spread bets and CFDs work, and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

yeah, if you put a stop order right before you get liquidated, you get to keep your maintenance margin instead of just losing it. as far as I know, deribit charge a .425% on top of market fees when you get liquidated so you still get dust ($42.50) on a 10k liquidation. thats better than letting yourself getting liquidated for free.

Don't trade with leverage. It's evil.

wtf? thats just a shitty heikin ashi strategy.
i thought he did a bitmex guide.

It works, if you combine it with taking advantage of bitmex fee structure,

I've seen this pasta many times, I don't know if I should trust it or not

try it with 1$ and see for yourself.
my bet is that after 10 attempts, you'll be lucky if you still have that 1$

why do you say that? If you excluded fees you theoretically have a 50-50 shot of profit on a blind trade. Using HA candles gives a much better read of momentum and can shift the odds in your favour when picking smaller reversals. Why shouldn't that work?

I've 4x my small stack in the last 2 weeks and I've not even been fully focused (had work etc). I keep hearing others FUD bitmex daytrading but I don't understand why?

The gains are becuase of your tiny little stack.
You cant do this with any decent capital without maybe using a bot. Either way, you would be better using a bot.

check out this guy
youtu.be/jvM1UqgudcAhats all he does and he does his trades live
it's almost too good to be true

how is it working out for you man? curious to know

>any tips from the pros?
Just don't do it.

hes not using leverage tho.
hes using cross.

So far so good, but as the user above said, its small stack.

The reason short term trading often doesn't work is the fee structure destroys profits on smaller trades. By using limit orders only on bitmex/primexbt, this disadvantage is negated.
