lately i have been hearing lot's of people getting rekt on malfunctioning stops. others say it was probably due to too much volatility and bad limits.
here is the deal: stop market -> if someone market dumps a large amount creating a scam wick your stop order will execute at the bottom (after cascading stops and panic sells before you)
limit order -> may trigger but not get filled making you hold some heavy bags or get you liquidated
pick your poision nothing is 100% safe.
