Im fucking trying!

God damn it

Get a bag of CHR and its literally that easy.

Look at the websites design language, its chad af.

It's hard to develop that puzzle solving mentality if you're a brainlet

I have a puzzle solving mentality since small child, but ADHD ruined me, literally have to switch tabs every 15 seconds, what do?

Think of the puzzle as a physical person you’re fighting with. You just must make the fucker SUBMIT. Fucking SHITSTAIN obstructing my goal

Learning Java. Currently studying for my OCA exam.

what do i have to learn to be able to understand whitepapers is what I want to know...

Good luck, user. Hope the effort pays off.

lets see what you coded. I'll let you know if your education was worth it or not.

Thanks user.

I want to start with C++, can you guys recommend me some books? It seems really interesting

Algebra and formal logic.

If you have no programming experience, start with Python or Javascript. Learn the concepts first then get good with something harder like C++.

Start with solidity.

BS in comp science probabaly.

How old is too old to switch into tech field by learning to code? Assume the person is smart.

I have just a little in C++ from when I wrote basic stuff, thing is I like to start with a hard one, that's mostly how I learn

I was thinking about that, but I haven't found any good books in the matter

you can learn at any age, just do it. learning is a skill that you practice

I know literal retards that make a living coding Javascript. I've also known people that learned to program in their 30s and 40s, anecdotally people in their 50s.

Take one basic book. Read it from start to finish without diverting attention ( write all code samples in the book )

Thanks user, will do

I was considering learning python as I've been told it's fairly easy, I'm 35 and have a decent job but wonder if I could make more if I knew how to code.
Python and Javascript are good enough to make good money?

Riemann hypothesis and criminal psychology

Thanks. I’m actually really smart and a Mech E, currently doing stupid BS in front of a computer all day, have some python experience, and I see the wages these software tech people get paid or data science people (which I think would fit me best) and I am really tempted to switch fields. I’m 30, have a MSME from a top school, your telling me I should be a shoe in? I like data science because it crosses behavioral science which is a hobby study of mine.

What should I learn to start with this? What demo project should I build or copy to get a hang on it?
A partner at a data science consult firm told me learn Amazon Web Services and you’ll have a Golden ticket.

Both languages can be ungodly complex. They are considered easy because they have a very low entry barrier - don’t be fooled by programming language wankery

I make easy $100k with JavaScript. Don't learn to code and keep me in demand :p

Tiobe index tracks popularity of languages over time. Python has been rising a lot for the last few years. There are a lot of jobs in the space. It's by and far the most popular language for Machine Learning and data science.

Coding is so boring I can't imagine doing it as a job

imagine being this bad or being so uncreative

The Real money is Business User and Implementation. They got Indians for the coding.

If you are interested in Data Science, I'd check this out:

I primarily do AWS work for a living and use Python for infrastructure work. If I was working on a new backend project I'd choose Python almost certainly. All the friends I know that do software dev are using Python now.

they don't call em code monkeys for nothing. it's soul crushing. I didn't last 3 months.
coding at home, making things you need/want is alright, however. Slow as fuck, though.

c or c++ is a terrible first language. python

Gotta side with that guy user. Coding is the most mind numbing, monotonous, soul sucking job I can think of. Seriously I’d rather work as a cleaner or some shit. Shout out to all the code monkeys out there but it’s literally the most boring thing ever.

Play chess codecel

This is literally every job after some time except maybe being the business owner who gets to choose the new direction and what they spend time on. And even the owners grind and do boring shit they know needs to be done.

That’s why you need to pick one that pays well, because everything becomes boring grind until you make it and retire with extra play money.

Started dipping my feet in SQL yesterday, reading this book here. Does anyone have any other resources they can recommend?

I spend about 10 hours coding a week at my "full time job". The rest of the time I'm either playing basketball, in meetings, or at home. I probably spend 20 hours max a week actually working and make more than almost everyone I know. Even if I thought it was boring it's a sweet deal

Read this book from start to finish. The series of books you show is very good

Alright then. Any good books on phyton?

fuck python, if you are in america learn nodejs, aws and go work at any startup you want, if you are in europe learn java, springboot and work anywhere you

Scamming

There is a legitimate chance that JavaScript will cannibalizes python, agreed

Grab a gun, aim the part of your brain that's causing you to lose focus the most (preferably the cerebral cortex)t and shoot it. After you're done, come back and tell us what happened

Much worse, user, I'm in Brazil.

Sounds like I’m off to a good start. Thanks for your input user!

.NET for you hahah

Ayyy my major

KEK fuck that hahaha

If you're not language agnostic or can't model complex systems correctly in your mind before coding them you're a peasant and might as well become an actual peasant. Raise pigs or something, they taste great and can feed your family unlike your shit code.

A good thing to do is limit unproductive things that suck up dopamine. Video games, youtube, Jow Forums and so on. Completely quit drugs including porn.

I know that's hard but it improves being able to focus and getting shit done.

Attached: codieren_lernen.jpg (1024x646, 150K)

also, if limiting something is too hard, cutting it out completely is often easier

It's not even hard, and it probably won't even get you a job unless you have a degree.
It's only useful for neets to learn programming if they're going to use it to make a game or something.

first learn these
