it doesn't matter how high the grant is. the approval by the EU is the really big deal here, even if it is "just" 17 or so million euro. if you knew how grants work you'd know that you are personally liable and have to pay a significant part back if you waste the money or if you miss key milestones / project goals. it's not "free money" you can blow on coke and hookers. this in turn implies that the team is very confident in holochain and the project otherwise they'd have never applied.
