The whitepaper acknowledges that sibyl attacks are a problem then says to see section 6 for mitigation and then describes using Intel SGX and HTTPS to combat data reliability problems.

Intel SGX and HTTPS are method to provide data protection in the sense that no malicious party has manipulated the intended data to send.
The Sybil attack vector is that someone operates enough nodes to have a measure of authority (which hilariously in the existing system is FUCKING ONE NODE) and just lies.
The problem is not a data integrity issue in the sense of attacks after the data is sent. The attack is just a node operator lying about the price of corn.
The reason they don't actually have any plans to decentralize is because they've done absolutely fucking nothing to mitigate this issue.

Building a decentralized reputation network is pretty much impossible. It's a more difficult task than scaling Ethereum itself. The one paragraph dedicated to reputation in the Chainlink white paper does not solve the problem. It has an infinite amount of unanswered questions about its design.
If Chainlink was gonna solve this incredibly difficult problem, they would have submitted a technical paper about this very problem 2 years ago (not one vague paragraph), and started working on it 2 years ago. They wouldn't have release some useless software and pretended it's decentralized.
If you're a scam project, you release nothing and say "we're working on it". There is absolutely 0 possible excuse or reason to keep it secret for 2 years after raising 32mil, unless you're scamming that is.
