Already own properties rent free, but not on austria and that's the major difference. I'm very frugal, my monthly spending is less than 1k usd per month. I'd be okay paying the 25% tax since the government over there is not as a joke as other places, plus the 5m would be in a savings account throughout the years which as I understand does not count as taxable income, only the interest generated does. Think of it as a cushion rather than my whole net worth. I plan on still working on things I enjoy (hint, art) and earn some side money while doing so, plus keep investing but less aggressively than what I'm doing now.
