I'm a crypto NEET millionaire

> I'm a crypto NEET millionaire
> Old school friend works on Wall Street
> He does a job I can't understand, managing a fairly large hedge fund (srs)
> He wants me to fly out to see him and explain crypto, show him what I know, how I invest
> mfw 95% of what I know about crypto can not be communicated and comes from spending 6 years staring at charts and reading forums
> mfw the other 5% can be put into words but basically comes down to "throw money at it, it always goes up"

wut do?

p.s. I don't even own a suit

suck his cock

>throw money at it, it always goes up

Unironically gonna make it senpai

>low quality larp
just go away, blog on twitter

Learn to larp better.

isn't it obvious
first off, it's wall street/hedge fund business, it has to sound right, not necessarily be right. focus on making sense and making what you're into sound attractive for investment, not on being factually correct cuz that's secondary.
second, you can use this:
>95% of what I know about crypto can not be communicated and comes from [6 years of experience]
as leverage to offer yourself as a partner/advisor

I’m in the same fucking situation. I’m flying tomorrow as their new crypto specialist

Lmao

Just read Jow Forums pasta at him, start with "WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER. DO NOT UNDER ESTIMATE THE POWER OF POSITIVE THOUGHT!..."

>get him to pay you as a consultant and take X% of the earnings
>throw other peoples money at it and take home X% + salary

never give free financial advice

kek

If you have so called 6 years of experience why are you asking Jow Forums its full of newfags.
Youre better off telling them they missed the bubble and bitcoon is dead. At least you wont look like an idiot

Talk about the fundermentals. That’s all that matters anyways.
>scarce digital commodities
>used as median of exchanges and stores of value
>fungible and divisible units of account
>banking system replacement architectured similar to the gold standard
>no central authority controls the issuance of the currency nor the management of transactions.

thoughts on zec?

this. maybe in the back of his mind the wants to recruit OP anyway.

lol, sounds like that shit would work desu.

I have the worst persuasion/charisma of anyone I've met, unfortunately - even close family and friends wouldn't listen to my BTC shills in January (or in years gone by, say).

Can confirm he's a normie, though, with normie fomo reactions in the end - he's suddenly interested in meeting me after I shilled him QNT specifically and kept reminding him after every new rise, now it hit $15 and he's curious.

Typical.

this. your friend will try and brainstorm you so HE can be the go to guy at his brokerage. Offer to mentor him for commission on each trade

>maybe in the back of his mind the wants to recruit OP anyway.

He's hinted at it. Trouble is, he knows I'm a lazy sack of shit and I'd get eaten alive on Wall Street, that is if I even got out of bed in time on the first day.

>never give free financial advice

Can't help it, I've helped some of my friends make really good money and I'm just delighted it worked out for them. Could have gone either way, right.

>Offer to mentor him for commission on each trade

With literally no understanding of how the business works, or how people work in general, kek, how could I ever know what he's doing at the office or what trades are taking place? I'd have no power over it all.

>6 years staring at charts
>throw money at it
half the people I know that started in 2013 more than x9 their investments, 1 out of 3 x15 their investments, and 1 out of 10 x35 their investment, so a good overall strategy, kek

by the way, one lucky bastard x100 easily, kek

>throw money at it, it always goes up

What coins do you think this applies to?

problem is, that if you work for him and get a multi million budget of other peoples money, you basically wont be able to trade shitcoins right? financial instituations only go for the normie bitcoin. (I personally don't think bitcoin can go higher than ATH though because 40 USD transactions are way too high)

Right, no fucker is going to let me push their money into IDEX garbage and get really big returns, it will be bitcoin and maybe that other one, Ethloneum or whatever it is, you know, the "alt coin"

Normans don't know how deep the rabbit hole goes with shitcoining.

Admittedly, the bulk of what I know about Wall Street comes from movies and television.
My expectation is that rather than spend a lot of time discussing the technical details of why one crypto will increase in value more than another, most of your time will be spent at lunch drinking martinis and eating salad. A couple of hours of that and some conversation about some obscure sport, squash let’s say because I think rich people play it, and then you’ll have a nice dessert of cocaine during the cab ride back to the office.
At the office you’ll chadfully run your fellow Wall Street workers about their weekend activities. There will be computer monitors with graphs on them everywhere. Some others in the office will be shouting at clients on the telephone to convince them to buy securities from the firm.
That evening you will go to a club that plays techno music very loudly. You’ll drink more martinis and openly snort cocaine. Sometime after midnight you and your buddy will kill a prostitute while high on amphetamine.
Make sure to bring high quality business cards.

>Normans don't know how deep the rabbit hole goes with shitcoining.

you appear to be extremely based.

haha you got me until you started shilling QNT, pretty creative I must say

tell them all about tether fud how the market is in another bubble.
although that will probably be plain to see come the 29th

just take their millions and go 50x leverage on bitmex and see what happens. haha.

From what I hear from friends who work in High Finance, this is actually not far from the truth at all. Most "work" is really just schmoozing with clients, but that's a real art in itself. They'd know I wasn't /one of them/

look you are overthinking this and do not fully understand what sort of opportunity this could be to you. They wont want you to deal with idex they will only want action with approved coins. THEY KNOW NOTHING about crypto nada zilch apart from it is the next big thing and they need to get in it before their competitors take all their clients. This could be your big chance and your worried about not fitting in. Look its glorified salesman work thats well compensated theres little to it if you can sell. You will kick yourself later if you dont act on this its potentially the opportunity of a lifetime - you could be a made man.

Get him to short bitcoin and long ethereum

Why does Jow Forums believe every LARP?

because we WANT to believe.

>glorified salesman

Yea, for sure. Trouble is, I can't sell SHIT, lol. I even end up talking people out of things they were previously interested in, just by my mentioning it.

>You will kick yourself later if you dont act on this its potentially the opportunity of a lifetime - you could be a made man.

For sure, it could be pretty cool. In practice, though, I could NOT survive the work. I'm already over 30 and never had a proper career because of my general laziness and low energy, lolol. These cunts work 70hrs a week and their off time is basically work as well.

ok im gonna be duper honest here:
getting a partner/advisor spot is a high ambition approach (i suspect he's ready to offer it if it's looking like you won't give him the advice for free)
but... do you need/want it? if you're really a millionaire no LARP, i can see how an actual job can benefit you with financial sustainability (no spending straight off savings) and credit access
but if you're a low maintenance neet on high risk of getting eaten alive in the real world of finance, unless you discover in you a passion for adventure and the motivation to consume as much material as possible to prepare you for that world... it's smarter to just stay safe and comfy with your mills

>Why does Jow Forums believe every LARP?

It's not a larp, what's so hard to believe?

> I'm a crypto NEET millionaire

This board is fucking full of them.

> My schoolfriend works on Wall Street

Someone has to. And I went to a pretty good school.

> He is interested in crypto and wants my advice

This part naturally follows from the other two.

user, how the fuck do I get out of my shithole country and go to wallstreet. I joined Jow Forums 2 years ago and started with 400EUR that are now more than 100k (18y/o).

I have no passion and I'm lazy I just want to do something high level shit. I dont know what field I'm interested in.

you clearly made it already.
god damn. what do?

>no passion
>lazy
>career directional ambivalence
...
>i want to do high level shit
(???)
ngmi

Explain what the blockchain is, and why it is valuable. Explain that Bitcoin is basically a pond, but the difference is it's an eternal ponzi until the price stabilizes post mining.

thats what I'm trying to change though. I need to find a field I'm passionate about, currently I don't know fuck all what to do. next year I have to go to university, so this year I need to figure shit out.

also
>asking life advice on a basket weaving online forum.

>> I'm a crypto NEET millionaire
What do you think about mining?

no, it's more like
>asking career advice from an anonymous stranger because he is* rich, not from his career (he has none) but from shitcoin gambles
i'll concede that he's likely very good at maximizing the odds of his gambles, but that's no diploma career, and he's a NEET. why do you think he's gonna be helpful?

*: actually just claims to but that's besides the point

this and confirmation bias, kek

They are bored

shitcoin

>Jow Forums is full of NEET millionaires
Right

Spending all this time replying to a larper

Hai OP, sorry you had to endure all the scumbags above. I know this wall street type and just want to tell you one thing. Don‘t worry bout it and dont try hard. It is what it is, you know what you know the way you know it and good thing is, you dont have to care about if they belive it or now. Just tell them what you do and how you do it, shitposting om biz all day and the throwing your money at cryptopia last year and idex this year and something always sticks. They will respect you for being honest, do not ever never ever try to play their game and one-up them or impress them or whatever. If they cant understand what your telling them and how your telling it its their problem, there is nothing you can do to make it more comprehendable to them. So, just dont sweat it, lay it on them and thats it

>> I'm a crypto NEET millionaire
>This board is fucking full of them.
Where did these neets get their initial capital to invest with?

>Where did these neets get their initial capital to invest with?

Well I wasn't always NEET, I had basic jobs in the past so had some savings from that. I also took out every loan I could get my hands on.

People are too afraid of getting into debt for investments/business/gambling etc. "Saving up first" is a meme.

Based OP. Just go to New York and be as eccentric/new money as possible. From what I’ve seen shitcoin millionaires always act like lottery winners, buying lambos and gaudy suits. Wall Street bros will eat that up.

Spout some new agey crap >you’ve got a believe in the charts, maaaan and then mix in some memes and you’ll be a crypto God. Good luck!

You can’t explain it to him so he needs to employ you

Do t tell him shit. Keep your secrets. As soon as everyone starts doing what you're doing, it will stop working and you won't be able to make money any more.

OP is there a discord or protonmail I can reach you at? I would love to shitcoin more but I always get burned, I have a ok stack to play with but a mentor would mean alot

>I'm a crypto NEET millionaire
Why do you care, then? It's not like you need a job.

Learn all buzzwords you can possibly imagine about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. Big money does not care for technical knowledge, only beautiful words and big numbers. Make sure you're charging good money too, don't give away your secrets too easily even if all the knowledge you have about investments is investing in the most memed cube tokens in Jow Forums that went from 17c to nearly $5.

>watches The Wolf of Wall Street and comes straight to Jow Forums to give his shit take

Maybe on Wall Street but in a hedge fund you get paid to be right, you only get in from being right all the time and you get kicked out if you’re not right all the time because hedge funds make money from being right.

Incidentally, this thread is bullshit. No hedgies are interested in any of your shitcoins and this thread was probably created to shill crypto. Lol.

show him your tiny pp and he'll understand
