I live in NY that's why I said depending on area. Most major cities (where most of the population is) are more expensive. around 20M people live in NY (not nyc) and about 3-4M work in NYC. There's plenty of places with low taxes but you're not gonna find the high paying jobs out there.

Less taxes is dependent on where you live as well. Being in NY I lose like ~30% of my paycheck to bull shit.
