Just get well known Numismatic coins bro. They appreciate in value.

they're cool I have a couple 100oz bars and melt ice cubes on them
selling it will be harder

the thing about silver is it's used for smaller purchases so 1 oz rounds or junk 90% quarters/dimes are probably more practical silver to own

also think about transporting that
would you rather carry 11 pounds of silver or 1.8 oz of gold
basically the only reason to buy a 5kg bar is if you're stacking and speculating in silver not any of the other reasons to own silver its a limited use case in my opinion

gold is the only precious metal worth owning.

i own 100 ounces of 1 ounce silver rounds, and 1 ounce of 1/10 ounce gold rounds--i dont consider myself an investor. its just for in the event that there actually was an economic collapse.

When was the last time small amounts of silver were used as currency in a leading powers borders?

Just as delusional as BTC holders

Does anyone here know how to buy copper bars at spot price or close to it at least? All the places seem to sell them at high prices.

Consider their use case in a shitholenlile Venezuela or Zimbabwe
Then you'll say oh why don't they just use USD
Now consider what happens when all major fiat is a hyper inflated scam usd Euro etc.
At that point bitcoin and silver would be best methods of trade

Can’t wait for the crash to drive past people like you in my new lambo. (Which I bought with my shiny rocks)

silver is so fucking heavy i got to 2000t oz 62kg and stopped

Fpbp. Chinese Pandas go up like 50 cents a year just from numismatic value.

1964 retard. 90% silver dimes.

does anyone feel the urge of accumulating these baby? the shine brings out the greed in you.

as long as you have a bag of Ethplode before people start realizing it is getting scarcer, you should be fine.

heard that silver is valuable but when you really want to store huge amounts of conventional money in silver you need a fuckton of space + its very heavy + shitty to transport. apparently if you're really rich and want to have millions in metals you go for gold or something like palladium.

Basically this, it's has extremely limited application and basically just if you're already rich and want something cool to blow money on. It is pretty fucking cool though, I'd love to tap on it and hear the sounds it could make.
Whew retarded and fiatpilled

All precious metal sellers will snitch you to some criminal who will find you and steal it from you.

So kill and steal from them?

So don't give your real address?

I mean, the US government on requires it for >10k transactions.

I have two plates I use when lifting. Superior to regular iron.

>yfw silver goes up to $850 per ounce and every government on Earth begins to require you to have a loicense to sell more than 1/2 ounce at a time.

back off, shoot the criminal, walk towards him while he's on his knees, do a visceral attack, steal his linkies

what if the criminal kills you and steal your linkies instead? the criminal probably has much more experience with killing than you do.

At present silver would rescue the poop people of Venezuela but if the dollar, euro and pound crumble then who the fuck needs silver?
Precious metals hold value because of their use in technology or jewelry but in global melt down the only cash will be ammunition and food.

>he doesnt know about silver / gold eagle exemption

if link moos I can afford silver weight plates for my home gym. gonna paint them black tho

would love to have a collection of gold and silver bars

Not a bad idea lol. It's more dense than steel at least.

Bars are very comfy to own.

I have heard about this but I also heard that it's not true. What is the evidence?
I want it to be true so goddamn bad user. I'm skepticalbut I want to be on your side.
Start stacking, what’s stopping you?

I think the primary purpose of gold/silver bars are to be a comfy security blanket. The wealth retention is a side effect.

here ya go fren
and when you realize why that exemption exist youll get a nice belly laugh

Fiat currencies have an average of 30 years before they are destroyed by hyperinflation. Silver has intrinsic value and is globally recognized and historically used as currency. Your paper notes will always return to their intrinsic value which is zero.

>buy copper
>at spot price
choose one

Unless they are big ass bars you are probably out of luck. The process of making the bars is probably more costly than it’s worth.

the documentations requirement to perth mint, i havent got around it yet.

Can’t you just buy straight from a coin shop? No documentation nessasary.

I stack, but I stay away from larger bars because some dealers will not take them due to the ability to easily forge larger bars. A couple years back there were a some dealers who got burned buying silver bars that were poured around other metals. Just a heads up.

its almost like mankind invented stamped coins as a method to prevent the relative ease of forging bars.
Maybe someday we will learn the lessons we knew 2000 yrs ago.

>Being this fucking retarded

You do understand the meaning of forging correct? You can buy/make stamps and insignias fairly easily and mimic the original bar/design.

>buying a minting machine is as cheap as pouring metal into a mold

>but if the dollar, euro and pound crumble then who the fuck needs silver?
people who want to buy things without resorting to barter, same as has always been the case.

Lmao at that brainlet

Pandas are the best especially pre-2010 ms70 that have a very low population. Currently have this coming in. It’s a great store of value even if it doesn’t appreciate which it will.

Do coins like Pandas and Kookaburras need to be MS70 to accrue value?

Depends. Mintage numbers and ms70 population decide their worth. Pandas and kooks fit the bill, Silver Eagle Proofs don’t except for a few key dates.

Remember to buy silver @ $1 an OZ

Also without the plastic?

I like theeese.
Can't go wrong buying the local bullion coin for your area either just buy when premiums are on sale Maple / Eagle / Kangaroo / Philharmonic / Britannia

i wanted a leaf bar but they are like 30$ over spot

These are the only bars I’d ever consider buying since I’m a Leaf and I can sell back to any bank.

What country are you in? You should keep an eye on large dealer's ebay stores; here in Canada I see silvergoldbull or globalbullion have sales on their ebay pages better than their website prices and you can use credit card for cashback.

How do I verify my silver is actually silver?

>stackin' silver when you could be stackin' clay
take the chip pill, and rest easy knowing your NCV chips are in fact, worth multiple times the NCV

ice melts quickly in contact with silver. try it out it's pretty cool.

Personally, I don't go above 10 oz bars.
I think large bars might be fine if you're buying from a vaulting service that is holding it for you but I don't really trust vaulting services either.

ice test, ping test, acid test(if necessary), assay machine

I have a few of these, the dimensions are online and dealers would have seen a ton of them, a fake either wouldn't weight correctly or size would be way off.
Don't buy off brand silver imo.

you what? Tell me more about this
whats this i hear about these RCM bars being tender?

REEEE IWANT GOLD BUFFALOS TO BE EXEMPT

Casino chips are just another form of fiat currency with zero intrinsic value. I hope your joking.

finite amount created, backed by work (labor), always worth at least face value, cannot be forged, can be made into keychains.

Attached: 2spooky.jpg (940x705, 219K)

>backed by work (labor)
labor is not inherently valuable

Attached: 1562624877907.jpg (1331x1079, 241K)

Based

Why silver and not gold?
serious question, I don't know shit when it comes to metals

slave/menial labor is valuable when you have 10,000 units at your disposal. theres also a token burn every night because people throw them into pools, traffic, or off a big building only to break when they hit the ground.

Attached: 1439259701082.png (1660x1032, 2.44M)

Attached: silver explained.jpg (1864x712, 275K)

Let’s compare that to silver. Finite amount on earth, always retains value when fiat fails, cannot be duplicated by man unlike a casino chip, can be made into keychains, jewlery, trinkets, utensils, bullion, can be converted worldwide for any currency on the globe, used now mostly industrialy so the scarcity and demand is even greater.

havent heard of a successful casino chip reproduction since the interwebz was invented. how many people in this thread has (warranted) concerns of receiving silver-plated lead bricks? i bet this nigga doesnt even have silver strikes

Attached: chip2.jpg (3264x1836, 1.13M)

should I go all in on these?

Attached: 1589742983.jpg (591x542, 51K)

Are you sure? Arent US Gold Eagles, Canadian Gold Loonies, and UK Gold Sovereigns worthless except for their gold value because they mass produce them? In the Fallout future that's all they'd be worth, after all.

No don't buy that crap.

lol, ive never seen someone punch out the silver portion of the silver strikes. theyre supposed to look like this:
secure28.securewebsession.com/rivercitycoins.com/silverrounds/casino/casinotokens.html

Brainlet here, why is it exempt? Becayse its just legal tender?

boomer junk metal

Because they're tungsten.

>its just legal tender?
not just legal tender, they are legally the definition of USD.
The things in your pocket are FRN's -- we are all taxed on FRN value.
the powers that be must always give themselves an escape hatch

there is numismatic value to coins minted by national mints. keep in mind these coins do have face value and are real coins. it would just be crazy to use them at face value. in apmex, prospector, and other bullion coins there is no real numismatic value

Yea fair enough your trinkets make good collector items sometimes but silver can have numismatic and intrinsic value so I’d consider it a much better investment. Buying larger sized bars becomes more risky but is unnecessary since numismatic coins are the best investment.

im genuinely curious how many people who hold silver actually have silverware. like, if youre gonna hold a bunch of silver that will take up space, i wonder how many actually use it as dual-purpose, like silverware, candlesticks, picture frames, etc...

i have a 1 oz silver arrowhead my father made for me when i was kid, part of a scouting tradition where the father makes the arrow of light

I have a silver spoon from the 1860's.
I use it everyday in my coffee.
Been thinking about getting some more because it's discreet way of storing silver.

my thoughts too, since it's not the 1920s anymore and house robbers dont immediately go for the silverware or fireplace mantle trinkets

Many people use sterling silver I have some myself silver releases Ions that kill bacteria. People used to put silver coins in water to prevent bacteria

the problem is, spoons can get expensive
you get a lot more bang for you buck if you just buy coins and bars
