It's the only thing I have nowadays. If I weren't employed I would just sit depressed at home and kill myself. At least with work I'm outside and get to have a little bit of human contact. It makes me feel like I'm still relevant.
I'd probably keep working even if I didn't get any money for it because it's the only positive experience left in my life.

Pretty much
I had a office job, I didn't like it and it didn't pay particularly well, but I had a solid future there there were rare moments where work was interesting and at least there was frequent social events. At the time I didnt like any of it.
I left, made 700k trading in nine months and now im left most days doing nothing. Im entirely self sufficient and could probably do this for the rest of my life but I have nothing to actually do or look forward to. Theres no real self improvement, and when I do have a social event I cant really tell people what I do and they dont really understand whether you're successful or not.
After leaving working I realize that its actually kind of nice to have some set work routine with opportunities. Im going to go off wagecucking again but at least I know that doing nothing even with lots of money is boring so ill appreciate it more.
