I am smart and what I'm implying is that I'll probably be good at this. I don't know anything about it yet and will have to do a lot of research before I do this, but I'm willing to drop 50k on a stock and pick it back up again a few days later. Seems like I could get rich that way.

Quick trading like that tends to lead to making small gains and then eventually being burned and losing what you made. But y'know anything's possible.
More importantly though a lot of people on here are "smart". I'm not saying you aren't. I'm just saying I am too, and I doubled my money once but have not made any (you could say have lost some but I'm holding so technically I haven't as of yet) since late 2017.
In other words there's a pretty large element of luck. And patience is definitely a virtue. My smarts aren't making me money atm. But my ability not to spaz out and sell may.

The fact that you think that you are thinking of investing in the stock market right now shows that you're not smart buddy
