Anyone else believe cryptocurrency has no future?

Don't get me wrong, I have made over 15k trading bitcoin (more like gambling on), and I will continue to trade it in the short term whenever the opportunity presents itself. However, With all of the bullshit going on with Tether, large exchange Bitfinex, and the New York Attorney General, just as one example as to the heavy manipulation. I really don't believe in it in the long term. It was a cute computer computer science experiment that will fail. I see it as a big party that is going to end send soon.

Some details about the exchange lawsuit

Bitfinex staff has also admitted as noted as evidence in their lawsuit by the Attorney General of New York against exchange Bitfinex if the truth about bitfinext about the exchange were to be made public that bitcoin would be worth less than 1k again!

reddit.comr/bitcoin and bitcointalk.org, the two largest bitcoin sources of information regarding crypto information is heavily censored!! Satoshi Nakamoto did not sign up for this!

Bitcoin uses more electricity than the country Switzerland! It is only capable of 7 transactions per second!

Also, the only MAJOR use cases other than pure greed in trading is crime.

There is much more to argue about btc than that, that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Here is a podcast on what is is going on.

Tether crash would cause only temporary dip if btc actually gets mass adoption eventually. High energy consumption is win win, power plants profit and miners profit. My issue is 51% attack worry. I heard 51% of hash rate is controlled by China, IDK if that's true. People say miners would not do it since it would crash the price and make it unprofitable but ETC got hacked and attackers got away with profit so how is btc safe to 51% attack?

this is a low-iq board. And the people who already know this are shitposting joksters who only come here to fuck with idiots.

Your efforts to have a real discussion and educate/be educated are better spent elsewhere.

Where?

The only people that care about tether are salty bobos

pee poo poo

Name a better alternative to (((Central Bank Fiat)))

Would you prefer precious metals instead?

It probably has a future but not in its current form with zero working products and total ass UX

>Posting all these links
>Incredibly formal text with spacing
>Tries to persuade anons not to use crypto
Shalom! How are your world bank friends doing, Schlomo?

Precious metals are better than central bank fiat and I buy them as a hedge but even I agree that cryptocurrency makes more sense as a global currency in the long run. Besides, I can buy PMs with crypto profits in the meantime.

Gonna give you some advice OP. If you want to be more convincing that you're one of us, throw some spelling errors in there and add the word fag a couple times. Not that you'll get a next time, as the oven will be preheated soon ;)

at this point Tether has a larger chance of becoming the next money than Bitcoin. Think about it. Tether is unmatched in adoption. Every exchange uses it and everyone trades against it. If you could purchase something with Tether then BTC would be dead in the water.

SWEET, MORE CHEAP BITCOIN OP

True. If only there was a decentralized, scalable version of Tether though...

Some of the smartest financial/economic thinktanks and individuals alike think that crypto will have a significant role to play in the next major world monetary system.

You, a retarded NEET, will not stop the 4th industrial revolution because of a few shitposts. Now get this garbage off my board.

You might as well be in 1899 saying the automobile has no future.

Crypto is gonna change the financial world forever. We are only in the introductory stages. The only question is how the changes will occur and what technology will rise to the top.

why would miners destroy their source of income? a 51% is never gonna happen unless done by the govt but even then its a waste for them, they'd rather short it to the ground and take your money

>Because bitcoin is getting fucked, crypto has no future

Your sentiment is shared with a lot more people than you'd think. It's why the price has been getting crushed. People are scared. Shit, I'm holding coins that I truly believe in and I'm terrified. But that's when you buy. When it's depressing, stinks like shit and everyone thinks you're a literal retard. It'll probably dump more on me and I'll have a panic attack and then just let it wash over me and become an empty vessel of a man. But I really believe that some stupid mother fucker way stupider than me is going to buy my stupid ass magic internet coins for much more than they cost me when I used magical internet retard money to buy them.

This

Almost everything in this post is an argument as to why Bitcoin has no future and not cryptocurrencies in general. If you said bitcoin in the title, I would agree. The only reason why it's successful at the moment is because it was one of the first and not because it's actually got any utility. Most cryptos that actually do have purpose aren't competing with BTC. The ones that are competing with BTC do a better job at it eg. Monero. Bitcoin is equivalent to MySpace.

But yeah if you actually believe that there's no future in cryptocurrecy, then you are just completely lost.
