Can someone clarify? According to the github, harmony is licensed to Simple Rules Company Inc, AKA Spotsetter. Spotsetter is a company created by one of the founders of ONE but apple acquired Spotsetter 5 years ago. Am I seeing outdated information or does apple technically own the licensing rights of ONE?
Apple Owns ONE licensing rights?
No clue but this news is bearish in the short term and bullish in the long term.
This is more than bullish if it is true, holy fuc
If Apple ever decides to deal with blockchain you know which platform they will use/promote
so many bullish news. i love this coin already, thx biz
hmmmmmmmmm
can't decide if it's bearish or bullish honestly.
WHY DID I ONLY RECENTLY PAY ATTENTION TO THE ONE THREADS?!?! AHHHHHHH I ONLY HAVE 10K I GRABBED @ 120 SATS
Hypothetically, if Apple would start an ICO tomorrow for their own platform coin, would you buy it? Yes of course
That's Harmony ONE
Okay so Bloomberg shows these two guys with Simple Rules Company. If these two dudes were sent to Apple along with the acquisition of Spotsetter, TECHNICALLY apple would literally own the licensing rights of Harmony if the Github licensing information for the Harmony project is correct.
very true. However. hypothetically could apple, being that they own this shell company which loks like it might own harmony, could take all of harmony's code etc etc and make their own ico, ditching harmony.
Now what.
Are you telling me... Harmony ONE technically belongs to Apple?
bearish news. we're going down
That wouldnt really make sense. If the Harmony team proves to do a great job by distributing their product, they could just change the name of the brand to iHarmony and can market it full force while keeping the actual makers. copying a new product would bring risks
Please explain how this thread is bearish in your eyes. No response and I can assume you are shitposting. Look forward to your reply.
Isn't their code open sourced?
Unless someone can clarify any misconceptions all we know as of right now: Harmony openly suggests that Simple Rules Company Inc has the licensing rights of Harmony. The last reported employees of that company were acquired by Apple when Spotsetter was acquired. The question now is: Does apple own the licensing rights of OWN. Is this a good thing? A bad thing? It could go either way, honestly. But seeing how the founder of OWN has close relations with Apple previously, it is pretty solid all around to speculate.
ONE TO THE MOON
Possibly the one time I like Apple.
Alok Kothari worked for Apple.
Hmm...
Did you know there's a lot of people that worked for places like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc and went to school in places like Harvard and Stanford?
Not surprising desu. Is your point that they're only looking out for themselves or what? Not facetious, just drunk.
My point is that money, conveniently, follows money.
