i think it depends how much bitcoin you have. if you're starting with little then its probably better to find some altcoins that could multiply what you have over the next couple months.

It's probably too late for anyone to put money in crypto starting from the financial standpoint of your average commoner unless you get lucky and play your cards 10x better than most alt speculators. Doesn't mean it's too late to make good money that will grant you more security and more opportunity to carve out a better life. More altcoiners will get rekt just waiting for alt season to arrive than those who make the right moves and really "make it" off the next irrational alt-mania.
True chads only hold BTC and ETH. We might buy alts if they hit all-time lows though, but only for a few days or something.
Long term holder here. Other than ETH for smart contracts and BTC for having the OG most secure network, the only other coin that I think has value is Monero. Every single other project is fucking dogshit and you should all be ashamed for not knowing anything technical.

That doesn't matter because Bitcoin is godawful to do transactions with. The point of Bitcoin at this point is like Gold, it's a store of value, but it doesn't really have a purpose outside of that.
