Both are interesting, along with harmony but I don't have any position in any of those. Not really looking to diversify out of link at this point, it's hard to justify any.
I'd say they're a toss up in terms of success, whereas link is much more of a sure shot, especially if you got in early.
Maybe they'll perform better in short spurts where people ride the pumps, but I couldn't see myself hodling any of those long term like link. I could be totally wrong, so take that with a grain of salt. I know some people like to diversify but link is an all or nothing for me.

Difference is, it's not *that* hard to replicate the Ethereum network in the sense that making a smart contract platform largely takes the form of coding. What chainlink is attempting to do is not just some code, but altering basic philosophical notions of trust. This is why they're taking their time in building the network. To traverse the sybil problem is more about ensuring that old trust assurance structures are seamlessly overtaken by new trust(less) structures, rather than just writing some lines of code.
