Everything will be fine......until one day everybody wakes up and it's not. That day is coming soon. This is exactly how banks collapse. They keep up the charade until they absolutely cannot. See Lehman, Bear Stearns. There were roasties still showing up to answer the phones like business as usual until they were told to go away....it's over....done.
This is not going to be some mad max scenario, but it's going to seize up the credit markets for a while and lead to central banks printing currency to prevent the economy from totally collapsing.
