Should I put everything I make into BTC? If it goes to 0 I will have to work 5 extra years but if it goes to $200k this could be my only way to make it. Is it worth the risk?
Unironically
do it fren
Thanks
I think you already know what you have to do user
Your salary ain’t bad.
If you want a long term goal for cash i would go with stocks or underdeveloped crypto projects. Chainlink is a good one if you don’t mind risking your money in large amounts. Don’t hate on yourself mate, you make more money than 80% of the worlds population
No one can tell you, but that's exactly what I am doing. We are just starting the next bull cycle, so I am buying with all I have.
How much money do you have?
I fucking hate this world, the gap between rich and poor is fucking absurd. I make more than 50K in the midwest, drive a used honda, have a modest apartment, almost exclusively meal prep, and I'm still barely getting by. Fuck this gay ass earth.
everycunt on this board is a beleiber and and an acolyte to a greater or lesser extent- even the bobos know whos the daddy. if you want sensible boomer answers go elsewhere. pic related.
bro I make over 100k in nyc and live in an apartment that feels like a crack den. leaks, mold, mushrooms grow from the wall, roaches, swarms of flies. It's fuckinh tiny and old, and I pay nearly $3k/month for the privilege (2bedroom). At least I can save a little with my salary, but no chance of getting rich if I stay on this path. 30 years of work and I cab retire with a little bit of money it's bullshit
This is an honest question. Why do people keep telling everyone to invest in BTC? I mean, yes, it started it all and it’s the king. It’s the coin basically setting the prices for the rest, but right now it would need to reach 100k in price to pull of a simple 10x. And when I see comments about putting some money on BTC they’re all like “take a small percentage of your salary every month and buy Bitcoin with it. You won’t regret it after a few years”.
What’s a small percentage of a standard salary? $100? $200? That’s $2,400 in a year. And every time BTC goes up, you can buy less and less. 10x on that is just $24,000. And while that’s certainly a decent amount, it’s not life changing at all. That’s not even a decent car. Then why are people still so obsessed with Bitcoin?
And don’t tell me something like “that’s what people said when it was at $100” because the ATH from that point has been a 20x and that’s not so much unless you have like 10-20,000 to throw at it.
>a simple 10x
How is 10x simple? 10x would be incredible returns.
I’m stupid. It pulled off a 200x over $100.
Cones dude
Stack em
take half of your investments and put it into BTC if you want to gamble
take the other half and put it into a mutual fund that tracks the market or a total market fund (or etfs of your choosing). you'll likely make 6-10% per year, even more if you reinvest the dividends over a decade
Good post. This kills the ponzi.
You should buy and run a share house while you're still young enough to have the energy for, and almost fit in with, college students. Get rich young idiots to practically buy a house for you.
Buy crypto too, but you need to find a plurality of solutions. Betting it all on a moonride isn't the way.
What neighborhood are you in? I live in an outer borough and pay $850 for a room in a 2 bedroom apartment. 1 roommate who I see maybe twice a week. It's a safe white neighborhood too. And I only make half of what you make.
If crypto manages to replace fiat it would be hundreds of millions for each btc.
Stop thinking in terms of absolute dollars, and start thinking in terms of percentages. You're committing the very fallacy that will prevent many from buying Bitcoin and experiencing the resultant success.
For stocks or any other investment, yes. 10x sounds amazing. But normal people are putting hundreds or a couple thousand on Bitcoin. That’s like $20k in a few years. Which, again, it’s not bad, but it’s definitely not the kind of investment that will change your life forever like BTC fanboys out there want others to think.
On the other hand, I can perfectly understand people who still have like 10BTC or more from the cheap days because they’ll probably end up having the equivalent of a couple millions in a few years.
Should I put everything I make into a single cryptocurrency?
fuck no
