I think it's just the fact that everyone you talk to is living on credit cards and racking up debt.
People put on a good face to impress their coworkers and friends, but that's running out of steam, and is only a coverup for them actually living paycheck to paycheck.
Everyone in the media says there is no recession and the economy is good, but when you talk to people, they're just tired. Financially stretched out and can't catch their breath.

>Tfw I'm not that autistic 60% onions consumer

I'm tired and stretched out but my finances are all right
Gotta mow my grass and cook and clean and work all the time

That's not what I meant, but good for you.

Bwahahahahaha I'm a millenial and I put more than that into into crypto monthly. Thanks OP you make me feel better about myself despite having a shit $50k/yr manufacturing job

kek, I'm pretty much this. Boomer parents got brainwashed by their grandparents into getting shit jobs and accepting things how they are. No savings after almost 30 years of paying a house. No car, no savings.
Fell for the college meme, a bunch of useless shit, achieved way more after start looking for jobs own and learning as I go.
Want to get a good job in the city, but if I pay rent or buy my own house I barely make enough unless I get really good job, so might as well live in parents' house.

Even if I somehow get a decent job and start making money, with how many boomers are on deathbed I'll probably have to make a choice between financial ruin or buying some meme treatment for parents, plus they'll tax half of my income.

Luckily I'm wiser about it not and doing what I can.

How poor do you have to be to have a $1000 emergency?

Plus, it's a vicious cycle. Boomers don't die soon enough, so people have less kids, which means worse economy, which means less people working for more. It's gonna be a slow grind to the bottom and it's gonna be awful. Trump should start a war or something so that it's done quickly

I blame social media turning people into uber consumers.

Best thing you can do to prepare is get your own house in order. Pay off all debts, avoid further debt, and live within your means. Next recession, you'll already be better off than most people, and have an advantage to buy up properties and assets at the bottom when most people are desperate to sell.

My plan right now is wagecuck and save money to build a small margin of error because inflations keeps relatively low against stocks, I just have to wait. This shit can't go up forever anyway, so if I have money at least I have enough for an emergency, but if shit crashes I plan to buy a ton, it's better to not time the market and see what happens imo

I tried so hard and got so far, and in the end, it doesn’t even matter

Boomer cope

Millennials are making money hand over fist these days

only the woke ones in crypto (and thots)

Shouldn't you skin them before you cook them?
