In another thread you asked me why XRP is vulnerable to a 21% attack. The reason why is because XRP transactions are confirmed when 80% of nodes agree on a transaction. If 21% of the nodes disagree, then transactions are not confirmed. Their way of defending against a 21% attack is to simply stop listening to the nodes that they feel are behaving maliciously.
