brew your own alcohol instead of buying. doesn't make you money but you'll save a ton if you're a drinker, which is basically the same thing.

Let it sit in your closet for two weeks. drink it when it stops bubbling so much.
I've even experimented with adding brewing sugars and it works really well, increases taste as well as potency.

I agree with this general principle, OP. A penny saved is a penny earned. Learning to budget and save money where you can is the real end-game.
Learning to cook cheaply is one excellent way to save money. Learn to make cheap but healthy foods a staple of your diet. Things like rice and beans.
