This design problem? $5 million will fix it for sure.
Seems there are no IOTA hodlers left on biz. Who are the tards left on reddit then?
There were some mouthbreathers making very weak shill threads yesterday. Probably a discord action. They didn't do anything except insult the people that replied. This shitcoin is so fucking dead.
>Who are the tards left on reddit then?
Eternal bagholders - crypto version of Beanie Babies boomers. It's impossible to reason with people like them.
Why does everyone hate this coin again?
It baits people with snazzy buzzwords like "INSTANT, FEELESS, DECENTRALIZED PAYMENT NETWORK FOR THE MACHINE ECONOMY" when it does none of those things. Then you have the IOTA foundation trying to make it look like they're working on shit with scientific reddit-grade whitepapers for as long as possible so that they can dump their 100% premined shitcoin on the retards that fell for it. Just stay away from it. It was good for one pump to $5 and it's in the process of going back to 0 now.
Yes I can sign this statement.
When key persons leave in projects like this, you never know what really happened behind curtains. At best they will tell you 5% of the truth or completly lie to save the companies reportation
they basically try to do what the XRPL can do already but they do it retarded hence its never really finish and doesn't really work the way it should
also token has no use case it s not needed unless you want value transfer which soon will be done via ILP which handles every coin and every fiat. no reason to use IOTA token even if you want to use the IOTA network you can just move payment off to avoid the token
ITT: scared miners
Well, as it is, I guess Iota is just another Cryptocurrency, providing a mean to transfer 0tx value in order to tackle the IOT challenges.
But the token will be used in (at least) 2 fields :
- First of all, post-coordicide, it'll be the only way to give your node (or your prefered node) Mana, wich will give your node more "power" on the tangle, meaning it'll be able to validate more transaction than a low mana node. See it as a stacking but with a twist. (I guess people will rent their high troughput validations, or large corporation will buy enough Iota to stack mana on their node to not have to rent it)
- Secondly, maybe you should read about Qubic, because that's where the token will be used to pay for computation (like i-exec), oracles (like i-exec & chainlink), and fueling "smartcontracts".
I guess it's a leap of faith, because when it's seems to be good it's generally isn't. But I have the same gut feeling as I had with Bitcoin in 2011.
The FUD is bad on IOTA, but I guess that's what you get when you make huge promisses, with little achievement
Offers something that NKN are doing better.
biz has always hated IOTA, and doesn't really deserve it IMO, but yes muh link 1000 shekels eoy u guize!!!
Yes, that's what they're telling you. I know about qubic and muh iot theories. There's zero progress on anything though. Last time I tried to use IOTA the network wasn't working and it took like 4 hours to confirm. Bitcorn would've been faster. It's your money after all, but I don't trust them to deliver anything after the shitshow that has been the last two years.
>meaning it'll be able to validate more transaction than a low mana node.
How is this an advantage on an IoT network where computing power is exactly what the devices on it will be lacking?
Well, since last IRI update, everything seems fine. Transfered all my Miota from binance in less than 5 minuts two days ago.
I agree with you, progress is looking quite slow, and I'm a bit worried that some other project will cut the grass of Iota's feet. But the quality of the research, specially by Sergey Popov is quite impressiv to say the least.
But maybe it's slow because the solution they propose is near optimal. That's my bet
Just like you use in your text everything "will" happen.
The future must be bright but its nowhere near. and everyone around them has a working product.
Go look at the XRPL tech it already solved the problems way more elegant and it runs since 5+ years no Tx did ever take more than a few seconds while thousands of IOTA Tx got lost
>in less than 5 minuts
So slower than Ethereum.
It should be less then 5 seconds
Its slow because its a clusterfuck of retarded design decisions.
But more users and more Tx will magically fix this as always
Well, some solution proposed :
- First of all, Iota is ternary, meaning it's more energy efficient than binary. They have some people inhouse developping hardware for small devices with not a lot of power and STMicroelectronics just published an IOTA library for their STM32 hardware used all around the world.
- Post-coordicide, imagine Bosch have a lot of sensor/iot machines needing a lot of computational ressources. They can develop a hub, with a lot of computational power that will do the POW for all their sensor. The only limit is the Mana their node have, meaning if they need a lot of thx output, their node hub will need a lot of mana, therefore a lot of IOTA stacked on them
>meaning it's more energy efficient than binary.
There is no ternary hardware and there will never be any.
DAGS are a scam, stay with the tried and true OTO CASH
Oh, well.... : m.slashdot.org
And the iota fondation is building Jinn, or so they say
Why talk about energy efficient hardware if IOTA still has a hidden PoW that does nothing useful its just burns energy
The germans suck at blockchaintech
Yes, because it was from binance. It's around 1min wallet to wallet.
Spam protection + it's not useless PoW, it validates 2 other transaction.
Like bitcoin and ethereum PoW is more usefull haha
AAAAHAHAHAA IT COSTS 1 CENT OF ENERGY TO DO A QUARTER MILLION TRANSACTIONS, HOW WILL THEY EVER RECOVER !!!!!
That shit is never gonna be in the consumer market. Source: I'm working in the semiconductor industry.
Being an actual professional and expert in some specific field has made me realize how retard most crypto bagholders really are. And that means every coin, bitcoin, ethereum, especially link and iota. The arguments of technological benefits are out of this reality.
I can't get around my head how fucking stupid was the decision to have "trinary" logic in some DAG based blockcahin hype tech. Of course you can emulate trinary logic in software level but that takes all the advantages away and leaves just disadvantages. To completely support trinary based IC chips you must to have:
1) proper semiconductor materials that competes with traditional techs, energy consumption, speed, noise etc.
2) a complete fab and a tools to manufacture that shit
3) customer designs, btw customers need now special EDA tools to support trinary logic for the whole fucking design flow
4) verification tools for hardware design
5) specific compilers and software tool stack (desu this should be relatively easy but I'm not a sw guy)
All of the above would take 100 billions of dollars, maybe even trillions to get the ecosystem working. Building the fab sites coding the EDA tools almost from scratch and verifying all that shit to work together would take at least 10+ years.
And IOTA does trinary logic because it is beneficial for IoT applications? How F-U-C-K-I-N-G incompetent most of the crypto devs must really be.
Stop larping fucktard
koreaherald.com
Because it's a scam. Its original whitepaper is a pile of manure, their consensus method so obviously broken, anyone with some coding knowledge + without mental retardation saw it instantly. Many people told them that, they just insulted them for years.
Cue to 2019's "coordicide" in they indeed admitted their whitepaper was a completely scam - while having the temerity to spin it into something positive.
I would rather trust fucking Justin Sun rather than these scammers. At least Sun knows he has zero understanding of technology and pays people smarter than him to make something semi-workable.
Oh well, I guess Jaguar, Bosch, Fujitsu, VW and so on like to waste money on stuff that will never be used.
We live in a capitalist world, where those who think "It's not possible" get fucked by those who dream big.
I sure am not an "expert" nor I have the technical background to understand all the concept you've mentioned, but thinking that crypto as a whole is a scam make me think you are in the "getting fucked" camp. I guess that's what you get when you use only half your brain (the analytical one) and not the other (the creativ one).
If you'r on /biz right now mean you have some interest in crypto (as it's the only subject those days). What would be worth researching ? What would you invest on based on the tech and not on the "get rich quick" type ?
That's what they do. Condescend people.
That's why I sold, not going back
Sucks to suck Iota faggots
So if you don't understand a word I'm saying I must be larping. You are a typical retard bagholder.
Firstly, stop posting some news links, there exists an actual scientific paper published in Nature
I don't have the access to whole paper but looking at the figures they have managed to build a simple trinary inv gate and a latch. The figures are too small but I see some butterfly inverter diagrams and box charts that present the statistical variations of different logic states. From the abstract I understood that they used the leakage off-current produced by quantum electron tunneling. What I can't find out how is how many devices they manufactured, 1, 10 or 1000000000, and details about statistical variation and speed and noise performance. Believe me, I've also worked for the academia and I know that you don't publish the problems and failures, only the successes.
>Oh well, I guess Jaguar, Bosch, Fujitsu, VW and so on like to waste money on stuff that will never be used.
Yes they do. That's called research and innovation. most of those ideas will be shit and not commercially profitable. But now we are talking about semiconductor business that is a whole fucking complex ecosystem than your limited brain could ever comprehend. Even I can't never understand it completely and that is why there is an expert for every detail in the industry.
>We live in a capitalist world, where those who think "It's not possible" get fucked by those who dream big.
There is a huge survivor bias in there. For every 1000 fails you get one success and that one success is remembered.
>I sure am not an "expert" nor I have the technical background to understand all the concept you've mentioned
This is the biggest problem in crypto. Most of the devs are like you. You should research Bitcoin and Lindy Effect.
>redditor fudding
just bought 100k
>We live in a capitalist world, where those who think "It's not possible" get fucked by those who dream big
Hey dumb fuck, we live in a crypto world where a shitcoin like IOTA was sold for $0.0001798865 per mIOTA in a crowdscale to handful of investors for a total of $500K. A handful of investors got the whole fucking supply and have been dumping on dumb faggots like you since IOTA came on exchanges. IOTA was $0.60 in June 2017 when it came on exchanges and is $0.28 now. How fucking dumb are you? Not only that but IOTA founder Sergey Ivancheglo did the same fucking thing with NXT coin which he kept dumping on investors until they gave up. Maybe you're fooled by the tech meme. Do you realize this shitcoin's network has broken down a several times over the past 2 years even with a coordinator training wheel? And now they are offering $5 Million of the money they got from dumping on you to get someone else to remove the coordinator? Fucking retards and their shitcoins
>Not only that but IOTA founder Sergey Ivancheglo did the same fucking thing with NXT coin which he kept dumping on investors until they gave up.
Lmao NXT is his shit too ahh thats classy
Its mean to be spam protection but it does a horrible job at it because the more PoW someone produces the cheaper (per PoW) it gets
So spam transaction are cheaper then legit transaction (can you see the flaw yet?)
Also no it does not validate 2 other transaction that just not true
validating does not need any relevant CPU power so they had to add the PoW on top of that it does nothing other than burn energy to add a cost to avoid spam. it does what a burn fee would do it just does it bad but with the PR gimmick to say it has no fee.
Any kind of PoW is stupid I never said BTC or ETHs PoW is useful you made that up
Do you realize that the cost of a PoW is the only use of the PoW itself? if it costs nearly nothing it fails to prevent spam attacks which is currently the case. spamming is extremely cheap and if someone had a financial reason to do it it could be done. raising the PoW is the only way to stop it. and it must be raised to a level that makes the attack expensive which will also make legit transaction cost more
yet again see post above the effect is always greater for the legit user than for the attacker because the more PoW you create the cheaper it becomes (per PoW)
so no matter how much the PoW is spam Tx are always cheaper than legit Tx
a flaw that has been solved by instead use a burn fee but the devs want free Tx which is impossible.

based linkmarine
>Oh well, I guess Jaguar, Bosch, Fujitsu, VW and so on like to waste money on stuff that will never be used.
>he thinks corporations are uniform entites that act rationally
>he doesn't realize all it takes is some manager getting an iota bag and using his position to pump it
never gonna make it
Nope I don't hold nor will I buy that shit ever
Also you missed a chance to make an actual argument so chances are you have none
since your german i'm sure you hold link
I don't and im also not German
then one has to wonder why your are psyop shilling link and writing english like a german fag
I have no clue how you see a connection I never mentioned link anywhere
Im not a native English speaker that's true but that doesn't make me a German
Iota bag holder here. Disappointing two years, no denying it. Looking at the research progress, another two years of cheap prices ahead. But they seem to have (finally) figured out the final design, from now on its finetuning and implementation. I have my bags filled and just leave crypto for a while. In the meantime, invest in radix, once their ico starts. Easy x10
So... still about 6x slower than ethereum KEK
Bag holder here too, we’ll make it one day
fuddin it to keep the price low :^)
SORRY GUYS
b-but MUH PARDNERSHIPPS
Ethereum won't get faster exponentially over time, especially when the blocks fill up, what happen when blocks fill up for iota oh wait
