i didnt recognize the name, there is a recreational weed (edibles) shop in the lobby or nextdoor though (90% sure its on the strip) and rooftop pool (where parties are sometimes held at night)
try to do a night on freemont street.. if you've never been... its worth it.. friday and saturdays are the best nights.. they have street perfromers.. usually about 3 different bands on stages one on each end and one in the middle.. and then they usually have like a light show or concert on the ceiling.. they have a zipline that goes from each end.. it gets pretty wild
Go to 10:50 or 13:50.. gives you an idea what you can do incase you run out of money
I had a big time gambling friend that i would go with once in awhile.. we would go and as soon as we got there he would fill up his gas tank all the way... that way he knew that if he lost his ass and had no money.. atleast he had enough gas to make it back home

Long rusal Target 45 strong fundamentals and conjecture
Ive been to vegas once when i was 10 years old, so yea i gotta see everything while im there (besides the lobbies and arcades, and the giant M&M's and Coke stores) might have unironically seen freemont street as a kid though, even if i dont remember it
yea im pulling stock market moneys to on this vacation (hooray unemploymed senior in college), so im trying to be as cheap as possible (in an expensive town) but knowing ill get laid and the excitement that she may pick up a girlfriend for the night too) will ease a lot of spending pressure off of me at least
im the first guy she has ever dated, she has had a couple multi-year long relationships with different women before, so im convinced i might be able to ffm with her, and vegas is probably the best place in the world for it to happen (maybe on her birthday, or one of the drunken nights before/after it)
Invictus MD just jumped 10% on a 50% short day on Thursday then only did 2.3% the previous days volume on a 1% drop so nobody was able to cover. get ready for the squeeze, shorts about to get fucked up.
>so im trying to be as cheap as possible freemont street is the way to go then.. it's considered old town vegas and everything there is half the price as the strip.. for example minimum bets on strip is $10 .. at freemont it's $5.. you can get $1 hotdogs... the reason most go to freemont street is because it's cheap.. it's known for being cheap
What's your stance on the BYND earnings? I am of the opinion that the stock is overvalued, but that it will still increase in value because of better than expected earnings. Considering how small the company is, the media attention they have been getting and that they sell a "cheap" product, I think it is nearly impossible that lots of new customers didn't try the burger. The stock will very likely adjust this year to a more reasonable value, but I just think it's a bit too soon for this. Also, too many investors like to bet on potential.
Blake Nguyen
Earnings don't matter nearly as much as future guidance
The earnings, heck even most numbers don't matter when it comes to BYND That's why they call it a story stock. The point is, you don't buy BYND because of any present-tense or near future earnings or sales numbers. You buy BYND because you see a million announcements of partnerships with restaurants, and because you can imagine BYND being one of the biggest food companies on Earth in a decade. But mostly, for those buying BYND, they buy it because everyone else is buying it
Disclaimer: I/we have a substantial position against BYND
Also buy KHC, I explained why last thread

I actually don't understand how, out of the huge variety of fetishes people have, they end up picking the most garbage and unappealing ones. There are like a billion fetishes and that is what turns them on? They should be exterminated so that there are more resources for the rest of us

There are other opportunities. When I was 25 I thought "I should invest in amd" when the PS3 and 360 were announced. Didn't. Hindsight is 20/20.

what about ADM, CAG, etc? can't they also jump on the fake meat bandwagon
Joshua Mitchell
i bought beyond the morning it went on sale. it was right before lunchtime, i was gonna go on lunch then come back to buy but i didnt thank god.
i bought beyond becuase i eat that shit everyday everywhere. i actually prefer the taste compared to meat that has sometimes peices of cartilage and fat that get stuck between my teeth.

It's over. The junk bond market is about to collapse. The bond market is 2x the size of the stock market.
That's exactly right I posted about it yesterday evening, but there is an incoherence right now in the supermarket and in the marketplace, and it is centered on processed foods.
For the last decade we've had people who were not food processing engineers tell us that processed foods are evil. And recently, big processed food companies like KHC and the others have had a hard time selling as many processed food products as they used to. Then along comes BYND. Their food product is extremely processed and not cheap, because they have to go through a massive amount of chemistry to try and get pea protein powder to look and act like a burger. And for marketing reasons, their processed food isn't bad. It's good for you, you're a friend of cows everywhere for eating it, etc. All the restaurants want this processed food product on their menus, and investors are blown away and can't stop buying it. But it's all going to rubber band and revert to mean for some reasons: Realization by consumers that BYND is super processed, and therefore "bad" Realization by consumers that the BYND product is processed, but that doesn't mean it's bad, there isn't anything inherently wrong with processed foods (leading into a processed foods resurgence as a decade-long trend) Other food companies come out with new and improved fake meat foods that they've been working on. They have stronger production and distribution channels, and can start to make large and substantial restaurant deals
Last thought : don't count out players like McD or Yum from making their own fake meats in house, instead of buying from one of the food processing conglomerates. It is just as likely that MCD R&D comes out with the hottest fake meat product of 2020, to sell in their stores (and possibly supermarkets too). Don't count out Walmart. Don't even count out Amazon, they're a long shot but I see a possibility that anyone in the food processing space comes out with a FM product in the next two years
Luke Stewart
Probably not Amazon, I just looked up whole foods and they basically have no food processing infrastructure or research, so it would have to come from the Amazon grocery side which doesn't do that as far as I know I was just trying to throw out all the possibilities. MCD still firmly on the plate The thing I should re-emphasize is that MCD isn't a cheapy like KHC is a cheapy. KHC, CAG, etc. have been brutalized by the "natural foods" fad, so they are on sale especially if we go into a more processed foods friendly trend next.
I think BYND had put themselves in a difficult spot with their fake meat. It strikes me as being a lot easier to reverse engineer their product than it was to develop it in the first place, after all people already know it's essentially pea protein and oil. I'd be shocked if most big food companies and even AMZN weren't running mass spec and stuff on it right now, if there's an AMZN branded fake meat that undercuts it in price they're done for. I do think a lot of the selling power of fake meat is that it provides an almost religious sense of absolution in the consumer, even if it's bad they feel like they're good people for not hurting the animals and being """"good"""" for the environment. I think WMT/MCD would have a hard time selling their own versions because people associate those brands with being lower class and bad for the environment, whatever that means.
9:00pm MTN (Chad) time, 11:00pm EST as always! I still need to find a movie, my copy of Looking for Mr. Goodbar fucked up in google drive and we can't watch it ;_;
Gavin Bell
I was looking around earlier for Glengarry Glen Ross and Network, couldn't find them on google drive but there are putlocker and openload uploads.
Elijah Bell
Putlocker doesn't work unfortunately, if it did we'd be spoiled for choice. The good news is I just found a full copy of Marebito (2004), it's one of my favorites! It's like The Ring (1998), but with hollow earth mythology and urbex.
>running mass spec Lol they definitely aren't For chemical/structural things like processed meats, they are running chemical tests and mostly just looking at it through microscopes Mass spectrometry is to determine elemental composition. BYND meat product is just C, H, N, O, etc. the obvious organic stuff, and knowing the ratios doesn't help.
It's not super easy to reverse engineer and make the stuff overnight. I think there are really dozens of ingredients and dozens of processing steps. I think the goal shouldn't be to copy BYND, but to exceed in quality with less processing. If I were an R&D lead at a food processor, my goal would be to relax the "make it look and taste and have the consistency of meat". That's a very tough criteria, I think that it would be possible to make some plant-based macro balanced food that tastes really good and isn't as heavily processed. Just my feeling. It can be meat-like, but less so than the BYND product And it should be full of psilocybin
Cameron Flores
Buy all the non-BYND food processor companies Some won't pop off but some will. And they're all decently valued, some are really a good price to buy
I've been unlucky with AMD options. I really think they mooned, no way they price holds up for long.
I am gonna buy a fuck ton of CVS this week

freemont does look like the place to be, and i know my brother has mentioned it quite a few times before (he goes out to LAS once a year at least)
oh and hotel might be SLS after 50 years of google searching
>The bond market is 2x the size of the stock market. >imblying that means anything significant protip: forex markets dwarf all stock markets (forex market easily dwarfs all stock markets combined)
i might get another AMD strangle, but i fatfingered $50 away from myself doing it last week (before they delayed their earnings report like a bunch of pussys)
see i tend to agree with this kind of, tacobell is best overall, while burgerking has the best quality burgers n fries, if its fresh mcdonalds has specials sometimes, but right now their menu is just quarter pounder with various amounts of vegi's on or not on it and mcdonalds chicken is always shit
>Burger King last. see i dont understand that at all, but most burgerkings are independently run franchises (moreso than MCD or YUM) so more variance from region to region?
I vowed never to eat at Burger King again after I saw their little "Proud Whopper" stunt. youtu.be/KLao1_JA2uE
So Burger King's out. Personally, it's going to have to be Taco Bell. But if I were taking the family, I think it would need to be McDonalds, at least for my wife's sake. But she'd really rather go to Chik-Fil-A or Wendy's anyway.
Ian Mitchell
you sold me, never eating this crap again.

Got screwed over by robinhood. They're app is utter garbage, GE stock is listed as giving about 4.8% dividends. Learned elsewhere it's like 0.25%.
Biz is GE worth holding or best to sell off once it reaches break even prices at least? Stuck a few hundred but think their might be better stocks.

That's true and i'm a jackass since i do actually have 30k in a college fund but i've never really considered using anything more than 500 dollars to invest with it and probably never will.
are you saying you have 29500 in a bank account and 500 in the stock market? are you going to college now? I'm unclear what you were saying in the post
